Saw a little bit of game and Stevo said he has not seen BV so quite.

It's usualy crap atmosphere but thought it was decent last night.

Good support from ones who turned up but it was a shame to see them pile out but supose that's fair enough.

It really wasn't the worst it could've been. I was one who could't make it (only found out about the result at 01:30!) and maybe there were a number of others. Poor attendance but nothing that wasn't expected.

It was quiet first half - but we had little to cheer about at that time.

It's a chicken and egg scenario - the lads need lifting, but they also need to give us something to hang onto!

this morning that is probably the biggest problem we have as a club, we are trying to get credability for a larger stadium and we cant even get the old one half full for a playoff game.
Much as I know we need a new ground to survive, the fact is if we cant increase our home fanbase by about 20% of die hards it probably wont pay off.
We needed a big turn out AND a win last night to enhance our ground credibility, we got neither, and frankly mwildcats is right.

I deserve to be a SL fan and so do you and the rest who attended last night.

Sadly the play off formula has not taken off this year none of the crowds have been good, I have to say it hasn't inspired me the intensity was missing all the teams have looked tired and with too many games giving a second chance the RL have got this wrong for me.

I would rather see more teams in SL with the old top 4 formatt for an extra incentive

I agree with that, but us as a city if where in the "top tier" of rugby league and only have a core group of 3700 supporters who come to every game then frankly the other clubs who can muster this support for lower tiers or have proven to get better attendances in super league then you could argue they "deserve" it more.

Name me any other SL team bar, celtic and quins who would have got just over 4000 for a playoff game.

Must have seen around 10 Wakey "fans" go into pub while I was waiting for bus. Now it was only 4pm so maybe they went to game but I doubt it. Pubs are always packed out when Wakey are on sky, it should be BV that is packed out, sadly it never is

What a pile of crap, So the 4,000 who turned up last night despite it being on tv on a Saturday night which is why incidently we play on a Sunday afternoon plus those who could not make it because of prior engagements do not deserve to have a SL team because of the low attendance.
All the clubs bar Salford would have got just over 4,000 as you put it. You put your answers on.... well and tell me how many NL1 clubs get better attendances to put them in your all important attendance league

So 2000 wakey fans had prior arrangements did they, 2000 have pre-booked meals/parties/events they couldnt get out of did they?? 2000 who prefer going to the pub or watching it on home on a saturday night, because it might be cold in the evening.

It's certainly not charging £20 a pop. Casual supporters aren't going to buy a season ticket but the club needs them to attend, not only to get the average up but to also increase turnover. I think an extensive campaign in the schools this off season is a must whilst also keeping a presence within the city centre instead of disappearing for the winter. This along with the stadium will be the downfall of this club, but with a new stadium the club will be in a better position in which to attack the low attendances.

I don't get invited out much, why is that
