Surely, part of Agars remit is to make sure that, when the players walk out on the field of play, they are ready in every facet of their game, with a game plan to follow.
Ok you cant legislate for individual errors (which were plenty) but he should have them ready to play hard RL ?

Good point, when Agar questions, did 'we' prepare correctly for the match, he is deflecting criticism away from himself.
If he did 'flog them' in training on Monday, hardly a scientific approach.

El Rey knows full well that there's a story behind Frankie's departure that had very little to do with Richard Agar.

I take time and try to look at it from both sides.

In professional sport you as a player have the responsibility to get yourself prepared. However I agree that I like coaches who have the team ready to go out firing with an appropriate game plan. I think I've mentioned before I'm not sure how good/bad Agar is as I've not been coached under him. I also wouldn't have picked the same team or made the same decisions. But we'll never know if the decisions I would have chose would have been better than his as much as I'd like to think they would. That's why I still support Agar but as mentioned before will pull my hair out over things he does.

I was also critical of the players and disappointed in their performance against KR. I'm sure they were and if any were not its time to pack in playing. At Wakefield we shouldn't expect much but what we do expect is to wear the jersey with pride and give 100%. Giving 100% is a mental attribute. That's why when your falling short you need leaders on that pitch kicking your booty when you drop short. "Eh Tautai your better than that man, come on.. Next drive make us some yards, we need you come on". Etc etc

I can't remember which poster mentioned it was MC worst decision about giving Agar an additional 3year contract. It wasn't him it happened just before. That's not he doesn't support Agar, its just a factual point.

I don't want Agar out, I just want him to do his job which, regardless of the ability of the players that he has, it is to get each player to perform consistently, somewhere near the top of their ability and to work out the best way for us to compete with and beat our opponents.
A clever coach will sometimes take the blame for a poor performance, even when it may not be their own fault and then blast the team behind closed doors.
Agar doesn't appear to do some of the "clever" things and time will tell whether he is a good coach.
We are in a crucial part of the season, with some difficult games coming up and a large number of away fixtures amongst those and trying to predict where our next win will come from is very difficult.
Usually we could look to games against Cas, Widnes and Hull for points but, at the moment, these games look just as difficult as Leeds or Huddersfield and it could well be that our next 2 points come against either Bradford or London at the beginning of June by which time we will be mired in a relegation battle.
It's certainly going to test the mettle of the faithful and a "surprise" win against one of the better teams in the comp. will certainly lift everyone's spirits.

I wonder if pro agar group are still sticking to their guns. Kirmond should've been rested, Washbrook nowhere near the 17, Wildie should've been on the bench as Siejka is a pointless signing and a waste!

The thing I don't get with Agar is he appears to not be able to motivate players like Kear could yet he worked under him at Hull.Did he not learn anything from the master of motivation - appears not.

The fact that he hasn't been sacked yet suggests that we are sticking with him.

Sticking with Agar will lead only to relegation.
