Did well to ref two games at once then Ganson. Sure I saw him at Warrington!

Whats as Cas game got to do with Celtic Crusaders v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats,
stop bleating about them, if you want to do that go on Cas board....
Celtic won the game Friday end of, time to move on and prepare for Castleford in cup, and get in our new signing/signings, and look to team building and playing better..

So your sure it's us and not you, funny but that's not what I'm hearing. A massive assumption there my little six fingered friend and not for the first time from Cas fans.
So tell us all why absolutely nothing has happened at Glasshoughton despite Tricky's endless boasting that you could be in there by 2013 - you must realise by now that there is absolutely no chance of that happening!

It's simply impossible for the club to win sometimes. Nobody wanted him when he was, Wildie was the man here and now he is gone he's already the missing link - fickle perhaps.

Please use another term for the king of spin as I don't want anyone to think I have been boasting about cas being in GH by 2013.

Let's turn that round and say that you couldn't beat Wakey who have just lost to the bottom of the league!

Always a risk having 4 forwards once you are behind if one or both of your halves are not performing there is little you can do to change things. Considering we didn't score from the 9th minute on then something needed changing but couldn't because of team selection. Would have gone with 3 forwards and someone who can interchange between the 2 halfs and hooker (probably wildie).

Wasn't Smith signed as a scrum half though? Therefore he could have played in the halves not that I'm sure he would have made much difference. That said Hyde's kicking was terrible and put us under an awful lot of pressure

Crusaders had two backs on the bench, Tansey and Sammut, this is is also very risky.

That would be Smith J no?
Fair play to Crusaders they came out fired up in the second half and played well in patches, aided in no small part by our atrocious kicking options when in their 30 which never put them under any sustained pressure and instead invited them back onto us. This meant we were under immediate pressure and constantly handed the momentum to them. The one decent kick we did into the in goal and the 3 chasing men let him run 40 metres rather than hammer him for a repeat set.
Umpteen times Hyde kicked aimlessly down the blind side in attacking positions which ended up either going dead or hitting their men without playing it and ricocheting in to touch for a hand over.
I barely even noticed Smith was playing. We started ok and for the first 25 minutes looked comfortable. The last 50 minutes we didn't deserve owt from the game although 23-10 is very flattering. We actually defended our line pretty well and with 10 minutes left were still right in it.
As for Bentham he was obviously being lenient with the offsides and they spotted it, took advantage and completely smothered us. We on the other hand didn't adapt to this and paid the price. This meant the one up rugby we had resorted to (the weather wasn't great to be fair) was impotent, we didn't get much territory and when we did Hyde kicked abysmally.

Correct, Crusaders came and met us when we had the ball, we hung back and let them come onto us when they had the ball.

whats negative about stating the facts? we scored 2 tries that came from bad defending down the right side and more than a bit of luck, crusaders were getting all the possession and making more yards down the middle. (one of the tries they even helped by just pushing morton over the tryline!) they were the better team, first half and second. fact. the ref just helped them more than a bit.

That's all about right. I would also add that we were poorer defensively for having King and Higgins on at the same time (better tacklers in Johnson and Amor); keep your fingers crossed for Dean, and that Wildie should be playing every week, unless he has a stinker and there is someone 'BETTER' waiting for his spot (which IMO pretty much rules out everyone else at the club).
Also, no-one has mentioned Griff - who will never have such a bad game again, but otherwise, anyone who didn't go and thinks that we 'should' have won is doing a massive dis-service to Crusaders who were bigger, fitter, stronger, quicker and generally hungrier than we were on the day. We should be grateful that we didn't lose ground on the other teams around us and look forward positively to next week!

Not at all - it'a a comment on the current playing staff - IMO Wildie is the real deal and should be playing while fit and in form.

I agree, Wildie is a good player and has real potential and IMO he is a better player than Smith. I am not having a go at Smith by saying this but i just think Wildie is a better player than him.

| Smith was a shocking signing by JK.
Re the Crusaders game. Their first two tries were forward a mile and the third seemed somewhat questionable. That said some of our tackling left a lot to be desired.
IMHO that was a game we really needed to win and we blew it.
