Or, Hampshire on the wing with Jowitt at FB, Although, Hampshire has been great at FB and it would be a shame to move him.

Yes, that was the other option. But i think the team this week is already going to be changed a lot, so the least amount of disruption would be to leave Hampshire at FB.

I certainly would go with one of those with Arundel in the centre rather than moving a back rower out into the backs.

Hi all, Wire fan here and I come in peace. Looking forward to the game on Thursday night and I'm coming across on the train via Leeds. I've been told to catch the train from Leeds to Sandal and Agbrigg and the ground is a short walk from the train station.

What I want to know is, are there any places to eat between Sandal and Agbrigg train station and the stadium, or would I be better off eating at Leeds train station? As I'm on the train, I don't want to walk miles into the centre of Wakefield. Looking for the staple RL diet of a pie, fish and chips, pizza or all 3 if I'm really hungry. Ha ha ha.

S&A station is the closest...a 10 minute stroll.

The road you walk down (Agbrigg Road), is the road you are on when you leave the station - the main part of it has every kind of takeaway going.

Go right to the end of Agbrigg Rd (T junction), and turn left, the ground is 100m on the left. You can exit the ground onto St Catherine St, which gives a shortcut, back to Agbrigg Rd, after the game.

Probably best off eating in Leeds if you want to avoid food poisoning.

Thanks for the replies and apologies for referring to the 'ground' as a 'stadium'. I think I'll get out of the train station at Leeds and head to Pie Minister for a bite to eat.

How is George King doing? He was a hard working prop and will get a good reception from the Wire fans on Thursday night. Can we have him back and you can have Lama Tasi as a swap?

George is going well for us and seems to be enjoying his rugby here.

Get off at Wakefield westgate a bite to eat in Wakefield City centre and 15 min walk to Belle Vue.

Ruddy Duck was OK on match nights last time I tried it. Only 5 minutes walk from ground.

I reckon this'll be about right. Or possibly start with Arona and Crowther on the bench. Warrington squad looks very strong, so we will need to be bang on our game to get anything from this one, especially our kicking options.
Thaler is Ref, so we need someone to tape up Broughys mouth before the game otherwise he will be in the bin again.

Hate to promote Leeds but there’s a whetherspoons in the station.

Weatherspoons exists in Wakey plus plenty of nice city centre restaurants.

Welcome, don't be put of by the Wakefield doom mongers. There's loads of great bars within three hundred yds of Westgate station. Plus the there's quite a few good quality restaurants in the city centre. Enjoy the game but not too much of course.
