| How many did you expect to turn up to a ground thats uncovered when its pi$$ing it down against a team that before today were playing rubbish. We've only filled the ground once in so many years.

Agree, it was never going to happen against Salford.

| 7,000 was my benchmark for success today, I never thought for one minute we would get more than 8,500 even on a sunny day which today definitely was not.
The despondent air still lingers around the City to a certain extent and while there have been many positives over the last two weeks people will take more than a few days to subscribe to being a fully fledged fan.
IMO the next thing that needs to happen is a couple of really good head turning signings. I know we are hamstrung for a few weeks in terms of overseas but IF we now able to spend up to the cap limit then we ought to be able to crowbar someone away from another club.
I'm all for giving the lads who are here a go but many of them are young kids who will suffer physically the longer the season wears on and playing them week in week out won't do their long term future any good.
We need some size, experience, maturity and class importing and the sooner the better.

Yes, I think Glover has enough about him, to realise that it's going to take something like a couple of exciting signings, to get some of the stay aways to return. It is going to be a gradual thing, but if enough effort and the right signs are shown by the club, it will get the trust of people again.

| It was men against boys today - one thing Wakey didn't lack (apart from the first 10 mins!) was effort. Wakey played as if they'd had no pre-season, which I suppose they hadn't really.

On the basis that the 200 or so you brought sang a bit, you've surmised that the 6000 of us who turned out just saw it as a day on the beer?

| 2010 v Salford at home, 6th in the league, play-off season before, Brough & Tronc still on the books, dry day. Won 36-6. Attendance 4883.
2011 V Salford at home, bottom of league, off-season of utter turmoil, team of no-names, cold & Wet. Lost 32-6. Attendance 6823.
Don't reckon the attendance was bad considering.

| I think there were more Salford fans than you lot are giving credit for. There were quite a few behind the sticks with us!
Bearing in mind the shocking weather I thought the gate was very positive today. I just wonder if all the newbies will return...

| The next game being on TV won't help. Rather than giving us another chance they'll watch it on the box and see how we go. Which probably won't be that well to be honest.

Thought Brough had gone by then. He certainly didn’t play. Point still remains though.

| I was suprised by the attendance given out. lIn the past I've seen that many spectators given out as 4,749 or summat like that. Still, no point looking back.

| If it stays at 10 quid I'll give it another chance.... if its back to 'full price' then would expect a competitive contest - which sunday wasn't - deffo men v boys - ..... strike me and the young un from the list... can find a lot of things to do with circa 50 quid
(30 quid in + 3 pints + programme + petrol = £50 quid) ... young uns golf membership £75 quid for the year...

How old is your kid? I think junior season tickets are £20. Plus by yourself a silver membership and you'll get more £10 games.

| I was just trying to make the point that I am probably the ultimate floating fan. Will only ever watch Trinity given my dads roots in Lupset...but living out of the district (huddersfield/barnsley border) therefore generally miss the clubs 'marketing'. Both me and the lad (12) both play cricket and that takes priority over rugby watching, so season ticket not an option. Already have season tickets at HTFC, Cant be d to find out what a 'silver member' entails. Happy to watch on sky(although dolphin teeth does my swede in) . Would watch a merged club (on the basis they would be more competitive). Want to watch an evenly matched contest with some element of skill and passion. Dont expect us to be world beaters, but an occasional cup run would be good. Come on here to see whats happening... especially recently with all the uncertainty.
Went on Sunday cos my mate offered to call and get tickets. At £16 quid its worth it.. more than that I'd rather be on the golf course, or in the pub, or walking the dog, or a load more other options. Next game I'm definitely going to is Wigan away in July (combining with Blackpool and Northern Rail Final on the Sunday... and a shed load of beer)
Wakefield Trinity is not my life... its part of my life....and has been for 35-40 years. That probably sets me apart from many on here... but to be succesful I am probably the ideal target audience.....Me and about 4 thousand like me are the difference between the core 3,500 and the short term potential audience of 7k

Its called building a future, don't have 3 pints and don't buy a programme, thats £12 less.
Its got to be more fun that golf even if its dearer.

In fairness, you're making that a much more expensive day out than it needs to be; for starters, how the hell are you having three pints AND driving with your kid in the car? Also, scratch the programme and get a junior season ticket for the nipper - free entry home and away - and a bronze membership for yourself.
Having said that, the point you make about being a 'floating fan' is a good one and raises some valid issues - you are exactly the type of person that needs to be enticed back; the good news is that under the stewardship of Mr Glover, we have a significantly improved chance of doing exactly that.

Dolphin teeth!!!!!
coffee spitting session!!!!!
£16 is a good call, especially for the squad we have, just enough for the floater and hopefully a compromise price for the club, £20 is steep even for watching world beaters, i appreciate that there are memberships for cheeper tickets, but for the casual one cap does not fit all.
