| If the article in the LE is accurate WTWC's have been shafted. They have not received a penny for the ground (apart from £750,000 which went straight to Ted and Eccles) and are having to pay a rent for this season.

| so according to the article in Lge Exp,
in 2007 WTRLFC (Ted) sold BV for £2.8M to Tillion Partnership (Javine (Ted) is part of Tillion)
Tillion (registered in Isle of Man for purposes not known) were funded by the Bank of Ireland to the tune of £2M (loan) the other remaining £800k is probably the outstanding figure owed to WTRLFC (probably because it never existed, we'll worry about that later!!!((sound familiar)).
£725k was immediately taken by Ted and Brian Eccles as repayment on existing directors loans, presumably that leaves around £1.275M to WTRLFC.
Tillion (Ted) then failed to meet interest repayments owed to BoI , so now we are looking at paying a huge rent to play there to pay back Tillion (Teds) loan, but he got back his and Eccles' loans.
So in this astonishing peace of business he has basically taken a loan out on the ground, trousered his own money first, then defaulted and WTRLFC has to pick up the tab???
Any wonder he was trying to shame the fans into stumping up £500k, to try and cover his tracks, and to continue this deceipt.
I take you back to the words of the original share plea, raise £500K and i/we will resign en mass, elect a new BoD and we will just go to being supporters. Does this sound like the kind of man you would like to stand next to on the terraces, let alone to entrust to run OUR club???
Ted Richardson you are a DISGRACE!!! if you had one shred of decency you would walk away now.

| After a little bit of digging this morning, I've been able to establish that the directors of the companies behind Tillion Partnership at the time they acquired the ground appear to have no direct relationship to the club.
However, there was a change of directors on 10 June 2008 which saw Ted & Diane become the directors of both companies, while David Richardson became Company Secretary.
To say that I'm pi$$ed off that, as a shareholder, the truth has been covered up for over 3 years and was not disclosed in what was meant to be "open" discussions with them a couple of weeks ago is an understatement. From the business perspective of my dealings with the club my frustrations are even greater & despite no longer being with the company that had the relationship with the club I will be doing all I can to bring the true position to their attention.

If this is true then its indefensible. He has given our club a right royal shafting and should be made to pay for his actions.
So Ted, are you guilty as charged? If so get out of our club now you two-faced, corrupt, slimey piece of and don't ever set foot in Wakefield again.

| it appears so thought it for a long time when people said things all added up why we are in the state we are
the playing standard and squad has detiorated dramatically we have been unable to pay the tax man despite selling our better players and the wages of the squad and what we use towards the cap being slashed players not being paid and unrest within the camp
and all this when ( i cant even bring myself to say his name) has been in financial difficulties time for him to go and go now or maybe he will do a dissapearing act like pearman and lord lucan , hes more or less destroyed the club what i love and everyone one of has in our blood , we are on life support or the dying embers of a once great wonderful fire that glowed brightly and could be seen for miles around stories of it could be heard as far away as australia but no more we have been made a laughing stock and i feel for us all who love this club so much, as any fan from any team would feel about there own club in the same situation its a very sad time for us fans and it appears its all down to a certain individual.

| He should be petitioned to leave now. We cannot have this hanging over us for long. We need to get him/them out and these alleged undercover deals with so many bad repercussions for us as a club.
We cannot have this hanging over us for long with the preparation for the season. Our first home game is at the end of Feb I believe, significant changes and progress need to have happened by then or we will see very few people turning up to watch.

It's hardly complicity, but you may be right, this may cause the Pearman era may be re-written... or at least a few typos corrected.

What I was lead to believe was that B Eccles hasn't received anything for his directors loan it's all gone to Ted. Eccles was in the process of taking legal action against Ted when he went into his CVA.

| It's worth pointing out here that whilst Mr. Richardson's actions seem to have been self-serving at best, there is no evidence (yet) that he has acted illegally. The administrator may find otherwise, but I somehow doubt it.
The fact that our club appears to all intents and purposes been sold down the river seems undeniable, though.

| What an absolute scandal.. you couldn't make this poop up...
Ted Richardson..... Don't you ever set foot inside the walls of Belle Vue again :@
Oh I forgot you own it and are charging our debt ridden club rent in order for you to pay the loan off, the money we should have recieved.
From fear of getting banned I cannot sum up how much I despise you, If I ever see you in your fancy house in walton or your many holiday apartments in Cyprus god forbid.

| I know that this area is a little 'cloudy' and I don't suggest that I understand even a small percentage of what has been going on behind closed doors, but I feel that it is wrong to state that WT have received nothing from the sale of Belle Vue. The money has helped to pay off debts that WT accrued to the directors for payments they had made on the club's behalf (I know that there may be a moral aspect to this regarding other creditors and who receives payment first, but many on here were berating the club if it in the future does not pay creditors as a result of going into administration - doesn't this include directors?).
The other 'benefit' the club received fom the BV sale is that the long term bank loan was paid off - it had to be because it was secured against the ground.
With regard to other posters comments regarding this affair, I don't know and as I have stated I can't follow it but it does reflect badly on the club.
What I think is happening is that we are signing a three legged prop from the IoM.

| I don't care how it is dressed up, Ted has looked after himself first and left the club to lurch from one crisis to another. He has abused his position and basically done what the hell he likes and then proceeded to blame others for things that have gone wrong. He has made us a laughing stock.
He is a despicable man and he and his family need to get as far away from our club as possible and as quickly as possible. In the interests of their own safety, I seriously hope they don't plan to watch from the terraces as his atrocious letter to shareholders refrerred to.
In fact all this makes what he wrote in that letter ten times worse.

| For all those ranting about other clubs and how unfair it was they had 'sugar daddies' and we did not, we did, just a skint one. We were also unlucky ours called his loans to the club in, many just write them off.
Unlucky or mismanaged or a BoD spending above the natural level of the club to succeed, but in doing so, perhaps, putting the club further back than it has ever been since formation.
And for those who preached on here how we 'didn't care' if we didn't stick a grand in or how 'it wasn't much money', I hope you choke on those words. Disgraceful then when the majority didn't have anywhere near the full story, even more so now.

| I think you will find that the League Express may well have made a mistake. From all the shareholders meetings that I have attended I never remember the accounts showing that there were any directors loans to the club. I do remember that there was a bank overdraft of somewhere in the region of £ 1.4 or £ 1.5 million, I suspect that the Richardson Eccles partnership put up the security for the overdraft.
So when The League Express report that WTRLFC received a part payment from Tillion and that this payment was taken out of the club to pay of Richardson Eccles loans I suspect that this money would actually have been paid to the bank to pay of the overdraft, this in turn would means that any security that Richardson Eccles had given to the banks was no longer required as we no longer had a significant overdraft. I also seem to remember someone at the top table at the recent shareholders meeting advising that we only had a £ 100,000 overdraft, so this all adds up.
