I'm of the opinion that no-one does a bad job on purpose. Yes, mistakes may have been made, but I'm sure the people running the club are hurting just as much as we are. I'm sure that when decisions had to be made, the people in charge did what they considered to be right at the time. They may look back and wish they had done things differently, but I'm sure everyone does at some point.

As for James Elston, the guy is Rugby League through and through, and there is no way he will want this on his CV. He too may have made mistakes, but I 100% believe he will be doing all he can to help the club.

Yes everyone does make mistakes, but when it is the same mistakes over and over again and they are unable to acknowledge that repeating the same mistakes is their fault, then ask the fans for GBP 500k in 3 weeks and suggest if you don't put in you don't care, then it will get peoples backs up

Yeah, and to be honest it got my back up too. I can't afford the £1000, but I still care. But for 2 of us to go to 10 games this season will cost me £400, so I'm not going to worry about my commitment too much. But I still don't believe people go to work to do a bad job on purpose. And I'm sure the majority of our problems started long before Elston came to the club.

In my experience, people do a bad job for one of two reasons; conduct, or capability. The latter is rarely done on purpose, it's simply a fact that the person in question doesn't have the skills, capabilities and/or personal qualities to carry out the role.



Maybe that's the problem? I won't argue that he's RL through and through, but on the evidence I've seen, I don't think he's CEO through and through - if he was, this whole process would have been managed in a totally different way. It's a common mistake in RL, to put someone in a leadership position simply because they once played the game, when what's really required is a completely different skill-set.

that was my thoughts about the supporters trust, I haven't a clue how to start running a business but could put up the steelwork for the stadium no trouble,

we must have enough business men in our fan base that have the clout to get in there and sort the troubles out, at the end of the day we will still need someone that wants to run the club as a profit

I wouldn't argue that the new BoD, however it's constituted, will have a tough job on its hands when it comes to restructuring the club and appointing paid officers; I think you've simplified it a bit though to suggest that 'fans will be calling the shots' - there's a bit more to a Supporters Trust than that.

Newmarket is a community project for the whole community Oulton is only 2 mins for the development and it has and is being offered all clubs in the Wakefield area I know Stanley Rangers were offered use of Newmarket months ago

I know where Oulton is. I do not recall them taking the ceo, players, captain and the wakefield road show to many other clubs in the WAKEFIELD district to drum up support for the stadium. As a matter of interest when was the last time you heard anything DIRECT from YC or Sir ROD?

Davide Longo was at Stanley rangers yesterday and development officers were there today.the aim of this Thursday is to drum up LOCAL support, and get as many people in
the locality to
sign statements and letters. For these letters to carry any wait they need to be
completed by the people that will be living close to the stadium, so that is why a
special effort is beingmade at Oulton. Even more important that these will be Leeds residents as u all know it is Leeds council that has objected.

Wakefield can drum up support from wherever they want ,whats the problem?I'm glad they're going to local clubs informing them what facilities will be on offer for them to use. As for York Court or Sir Rodney Walker as far as I'm aware are still backing the project get to the meeting on Tuesday and find out for yourself

Wonder what happened with Ebbsleet FC after the hype of the myfootballclub takeover occured. As long as we don't have votes to the shareholders/Trust on every issue, we'll be fine!

I'm pretty sure that amongst those who join the supporters trust and also volunteer their skills, knowledge and services there will be Directors and owners of successful businesses, fincial advisors, commercial & marketing professionals and so on.
