Not seeing the problem with the OP. It has to be a consideration, we are playing terrible rugby and there is only 7 games left and 5 of them are against the current top 5 teams.

Cheers. I agree, preseason we were talking about playoffs and cup runs, this was on the back of what the club said they were aiming for. How disappointing g this season has been.

Yes, the injuries have been a factor, but there seems to be a much bigger problem in the dressing room

I actually thi k this has been one of the biggest problems for fans this season. On the back of two top 5 finishes, the club told us they were aiming higher. They have failed to live up to their own expectations which has left fans lost. Some still believe that we are a top 5 side because we were last year and the club said we should be again. Other fans can see that we are nowhere near a top 5 side and in reality, will be very lucky if we are playing SL next year.

Although we weren’t anything special in first half we were in the game , came out second half expecting more of the same and were out classed, out thought , and out enthused in all departments . Serving up One man rugby yet again was never going cause Cas many problems , and if that was our game plan its going to be a tough end to the season .

The fact that we were camped in their 20 for long periods of the game and yet could only manage 2 trys, one of them a fluke, tells you all you need to know. We will not win another game till we play London and will just will be hanging in there in hope!

I agree, but he can only work on the back of the platform he is set by the forwards and with what the players around him are doing. The whole spine looks lost, and its affecting every part of the squad and the plays they come up with

The rest of the team got him into the Cas 10 metre at least three times. Results: deadend plays.

We are in big trouble. But that much has been evident since the Widnes cup game. Honestly. I'm surprise people still defend it. I guess the injuries have always been something to fall back on. For me, these performances are beginning to show it is not just injuries that are the problem.

We did win some games when our initial injury crisis started. Wigan we had 5 injured in the game but won. This recent poor form isn't down to injuries

It does make you wonder what motivates so called professional players - fortunately I missed the game last night as was away. But realistically season has finished we won’t win another game before London. Right now if your the coach, chairman and fans you must just be wondering what’s gone wrong. Everyone’s done their bit apart from most of the players themselves - I exclude big Dave from any criticism as he’s pretty much carried us all season , he’s probably put his hand up on several occasions when he should have rested.

I know we be had injuries but on paper team we are putting out should be competitive

Realistically can’t see London getting 2 wins before they play us so chances are we will be safe. However they do have Leeds to play at home and generally have an easier run in it’s not impossible .

Really thought this season was the year where we might have made the play offs , Wembley etc . Right now am debating wether or not to bother going to any more games this year

I think we all expected to improve on the last 2 seasons and the club defiantly fuelled the situation with the comments made. Im not sure were we go from now but a statement from the club followed by some positive action would help. Im not at the moment saying sack Chester but he deffo needs help from the backroom staff or a new man manager. A new coach does however normally achieve better performances and results but only Chester knows the full extent of the problems and if hes capable of putting thing right.
Players MUST take some responsibility and show to the fans what the club means to them because the next few games would not normally provide the club with a win. MC must be extremely disappointed but without throwing money at the situation we will probably limp to the end of the season and rely on other results going our way.

There's no probably about it. We're already relying on other results going our way, and have been for a few weeks.

But looking at it the players we're bringing next season they're not match winners they're just replacements for who's going & we still have no leader & still no-one to add that magic touch so we're not aiming for top five next season everythings at a standstill

It's way too late to have any thoughts of top five or any such hopes, I think we all know that; But it's not too late to get all the lads in a group and find out what the problem is, because the schoolboy errors in defence are frankly embarrassing and costing us dearly. As Redscat has mentioned earlier the tries last night were scored at will by Cas on the wings.
why is it not being addressed? Either it isn't or the coach is being ignored!
How come so many of our forwards get the ball when they are standing still?
Cas showed us how to play with aggression and attitude. We should look at them and learn how to play and WIN!

I couldnt make yesterdays game so had to make do with listening on the radio, but it seemed to mirror every other game for the last couple of months. Ie. No creativity or structured plays. Most of our scores coming from capitalising on opposition errors (which we do very well).
The forwards are not to blame in my opinion. Despite the absentees our pack still hold their own and lay a decent platform.
But our 1,6 and 7 really isnt working. When we are relying on Brough kicking a ball as high as he can and hoping someone doesnt catch it we are screwed. Its something you might expect from an u11s game.
We sounded to have the same territory as Cas but 20 yards out with ball in hand we are pathetic.
Major changes needed because without a big slice of luck we wont win another game.

Funny how many have come back for this thread but haven't been posting recently.

Hardly anything been worth posting about recently. The team has been dire for months, the odd win interspersed with lots of losses. No drive, direction or commitment from the players no passion from the coach.

Need wholesale change for new season no matter what happens

You are entitled to post when you like but we are different.
I see the win at Hull KR and better performances worth commenting on rather than waiting till something goes against us.

I wasn't meaning to pick you out. There are lots who focus on the negative on here. That was the point I was making.

There's a lot who live in reality. Some people saw this as long as ago as Widnes at home in the cup. Because that is how long we have been useless.Performances have imroved recently in effort but not in quality.
