To be fair it does make sense, would his wife now she's been found guilty need a visa to enter this country? If she's given house arrest as the judge suggested it's hardly house arrest thousands of miles away. And if she can't come over here I can't see him leaving here, a new (ish) born baby and two toddlers at home.

Well MC has already responded to one fan saying "It all depends on the outcome of the court date in January" with "No it doesn`t" so according to MC he`s coming back either way?

David is obviously under no illusions on what action will be taken on his partner as he already knows? But has told the club he will be coming back for next season.

I would guess that Fifita and his wife have many close family members who will support them while she’s under house arrest. Also Fifita has a well paid job which will be sorely needed as they rebuild their lives and possibly pay back into the system.

The only thing that they might find impossible to cope with is his absence from his children and baby but many career people make the same sacrifice every day, military more than most.

I’d expect to see him back and maybe better than ever now that all this is no longer hanging over him and his family.

I dont know the law on this but if it's not a custodial sentence would she be banned from the UK. I mean weve let worse in that that?

I was thinking more on the lines of the USA, I know a guy who got caught up in football related fighting and was refused a visa.

I am no expert on immigration but I believe it's the type of offence convicted off and what sentence it carries not necessarily the sentence given.

It could work either way, him being relieved that it's all over, or missing his wife and kids that in effect he'd be homesick, he seems pretty much the family man from an outsiders perspective.

I hope he stays with us however I would totally understand if he decided to leave and return home

I really hope he stays & he's back in Wakey come January & also everything works out for the best for Big Dave & his family. I think deep down it will, but obviously, you never know for sure.
Imo he's one of my favorite players and one of the best Props we've had in years and it would be hard to replace that kind of player.

If the worst did happen I know it won't be because he doesn't want to be over here playing for Trinity and will be because what's best for him and his family. Although It will free up another quota space and another Prop we'll be on the lookout for. So I'm wondering if the team, maybe Kear at the WC, have got their eyes on anyone if the worst happens.

I thought it was a loose carry tbh especially after I watched it a couple of times. Dave's brother is a bit prone to those. Wilkin I think was trying to create a bit of controversy in the studio about the call, when he knows if that was a SL game, it would have been a knock on all day long imo. I think that's why they didn't go upstairs but it was worth giving it a look, even though it'd have gone up to the video ref as a no try.

Yeah should be ok from a legal perspective, benefit fraud not really anything for UK govt to be concerned about. Just if Dave would be happy on the other side of the world while his mrs and kids are at home. Hope he stays and would be gutted if he went but wouldn't blame him one iota if he did.

Again I know nothing about this but if anything it's not her getting into the Uk that concerns me more her getting out of Oz. Just guessing but if she gets a suspended sentence won't she have to stay there?
