Does the spear tackle not deserve sending off then...................talk about biased.

Thought we went a lot better than expected and it's a shame the ref ruined what could have been a lot better specacle. Thankful for that last try because I took us to lose 16-20pts @ 6/1 as well as 10/11 at +10 start. So a good day all in all. Mind Catalans ruined the accumulator. Having a bet certainly tugs at the emotions

Yeah deffinately the short straw, Ganson was video ref and the Lino who ran on with his flag in the air is a right blind so and so.

Overall, I feel positive about the way our young, rag-tag squad performed; we need some more forward power and a controlling SH, but then we already knew that. I thought Johnson was superb and agree, we looked much better when Rinaldi was on.

Other observations:

On that performance, Cas won't be troubling the top 8 this year.

Mr Child is an embarassment to the sport.

It would seem that Wigan and Saints are not subject to the new RFL directives that saw our game ruined as spectacle.

Hands between the legs, lifted above the horizontal is a spear tackle, especially when the player lands at the angle he did!

Not to mention the penalty was for y'know...a spear tackle.

Agree with all that, the blame is firmly at Child's feet and he looked like he wanted to be of attention. If Child's would of got this next game, it would of turned into the Child's show again.

Various degrees of seriousness to spear tackles, those that get lifted up and dropped on their heads/kneck, then those whose legs go up past horizontal and land on their backs. The first one is a sin binning, the second is a penalty imo.

Considering everything we've been through up to yesterday afternoon, top 8 wasn't an aspiration for any Wakey fan with half a brain; we just wanted to have a club to support.

Well from down in Cardiff I can say this much,
I sat through the first 2 games and then ours and the first half of Wigan v Sts,
The only game to generate any atmosphere was Wakefield v Cas who had both sets of fans chanting and cheering throughout. Lots of good health rivalry which took a funny turn when a few Whino fans started to muscle in. Without any prompting Cas and Trinity fans retorted by singing "we hate Whinos" to the popular tune that the Weeds fans like to use.

As for the game, Childs destroyed it as a spectacle with his ridiculous performance,
we were poor in defence, how the he'll do you concede two overlap tries when you have the extra man, what was Fergie doing letting Widders run round him and how on earth was it so easy for Milner to waltz over from half back. George was left stranded time and time again in the first few minutes and Cas should have had more points on the board.

As for Cas, if that's their best 17 theyre in as much trouble as we are, given that we will probably recruit two or four players in the next month or so.

Yes, could hear both sets of fans chanting, making plenty of noise.
