You're backtracking here....You said......
"I tend to agree, however the precedent is set. Widnes were fined for the behaviour of their supporters at the cup semi-final not held at their ground".
Suggesting we should be fined.
Then you said......
"I've clearly said I don't think Wakefield as a club should be fined, but I do think the individuals needs to have their names given to the club and action taken against them".

Hopefully gets sorted and that Castleford fan who ran the pitch should be banned too. I saw it clearly and he wanted trouble big time.Some hooligans from Castleford too and a fine should occur.

That doesn't suggest I think you SHOULD be fined, just that you COULD be.
Somebody made a point that you can't be fined for the behaviour of supporters at an away ground. I just provided an example to show that you can. |

There are suggestions on this thread that Cas Tigers are to blame for a) stewards not searching fans for banned items and b) not stopping the Wakey fans from throwing the smoke bombs. I'm defending my club here - we have banned fans for a smoke bomb set off in the seating area at Spotland, a drunken woman running onto the field to confront the ref at Salford, and a fan a Wheldon Road for throwing coffee. The first two instances are at away games but we have still been seen to enforce bans to our own travelling supporters. We are all representing our clubs when going to away games - WTW will ban the culprits (MC has rightly stated that) but to put the blame squarely on a and b above is ludicrous.
Fair comment about my post been unusually crap through.  |

For some reason I can't underline the salient points but I agree wholeheartedly that blaming on a and b is ludicrous, but then again the vast majority of people aren't. |

Regarding stewards searching speccies on entry to the ground - is this something new to this season at Belle Vue ? I have never been searched at any SL game other than the Magic Weekend.
