I am sure its not the case, but the cynic in me is starting to wonder whether we are letting players go so that our spending on wages remains roughly the same as before the new owners came in.

So if Korki were to leave, I would suggest that unless somebody else were coming in, we could actually be left with a lower wage bill then the start of the season as those who have left are likely to be on more than those coming in on an overall basis.

The question is, is this just good management by the new owners in keeping the business running as profitably as possible, or is it a sign of the fact that they are resigned to us losing our SL licence and see no point in incurring additional expense on the wage bill when it is a pointless exercise?

I am not sure what I think the answer to this question is - maybe it will become clearer over the next month or two.

No, we got him as part of the Brough 'deal'.

Is there really any truth in this Korki leaving rumour? Another established first-teamer leaving mid-season would certainly send out the wrong message regarding our franchise hopes and the financial rumours would start all over again. And anyway he's a valuble member of the squad and losing him would be a blow in my opinion.

Korky is on loan until the end of this season which coincides with the end of his Huddersfield contract.

You're right it does. God knows what we owed them £24k for. Other than Kirmond, prior to going into Admin I can't think of one player coming to us from Huddersfield, they all go from us to them.

Maybe it was a combination of Kirmond's and Korky's wages that we owed to Huddersfield.

Undisclosed. They did let us get Kirkmond fit for the play offs and let us keep Korki who they didn't want and we already had. So given that we probably bent over and gave them 50k, 24 of which we still owe!
