there's a bronze one too

I am in a similar position. I will buy one at £100 but at £175 I may as well buy a silver membership. Hopefully the 2500 will be smashed. If we can get 5000+ for quins then there are the home fans out there.

Buy one then, you can't lose, if we don't get the 2500 you then have the option of getting your £100 back. What you don't have the option of is sitting and waiting because once we get to the end of the month the offer is to be withdrawn.
To put it in to context Cas have just announced there season ticket deals, there special offer early bird price for standing is £26 junior and £175 Adult, after this it rises to £36 junior and £215 adult - just shows you what a fantastic price ours is.
I hope and trust the club to appoint the right man but whoever the new coach is I will be there supporting my team and think we should encourage as many other people (new & old) as possible.
I think the signings we have made already show that we will be witnessing a different team and with the new roofed stands we will even be dry!!

| Daughter and her Fiance just bought one each. Usually go to a few games but cannot afford £175.00 but at £100 for 13 games its managable.
Lets hope the people of Wakefield get behind this great deal.

| First off all, its a great offer by Andrew G and the club but i feel its still a misleading offer for all concerned ... So if the club doesnt generate 2500 memebers by the end of September we will all have to buy them at around £180 for adults instead of £100 or ask for our money back if we dont feel ( as to a lot of ppl who work shifts etc, value for money anymore) ... Well that would certainly put me in that bracket and i have purchased 2 season tickets for my self and partner and this should be honoured regardless as i dont see what the incentive is by me now purchasing them if we dont meet the target ?? Maybe the offer should have been to buy your tickets before the end of September at £100 then they would be normal price after this - seems like a better deal and better incentive to me as this is the only way i would have purchased a season ticket as i cant make games and the club are also making money under this scheme as i have paid out £200 where my partner would not have gone next year paying £180 for a season ticket ...
This would be a massive acheivment for Andrew to get 2500 members before October - i dont think we would usually get 500 by the end of Xmas previous years !! Im not gonna knock his ambition or his marketing powers - just hope the club and fans now rally round a great offer and a achieveable one ??
ps i beleive that any publicity over this is good publicity so get buying peeps

| I have often questioned the Wakefield public's commitment to 'their' club and I find myself doing it again. When the deal was first announced I thought we should blitz it easily but having spoken to people about it and seen the sales figures I have to say it leaves me underwhelmed. 2,500 people paying £100 for a season ticket should be a given for club in a City the size of Wakefield. Add to that the 200 people signed up for the supporters trust and the numbers who contribute to squadbuilder and I think it shows that in general the people of Wakefield do not give a stuff about 'their' team. If we fail to make the 2,500 then it will be a very sad and very telling day and if I was Mr Glover I'd be on the first train out of here because it would show that the support is just not there.

Where's the marketing and advertising of it? I've seen nothing bar the website and here. What about the boards around the city? Adverts on the radio? We use the TV ad to plug an away game, why not knock up (a better one) to advertise this offer?

I don't buy the piece of turd but has there been anything in the express? Surely one of the best ways would be to have a full page advert either on the back of or inside the back cover?

| I wouldn't like to be one of the people manning the phones on 1st October if we don't get 2.500, because I bought mine online yesterday, and nowhere did I see any indication that I would be asked to pay more if we didn't get 2.500, just the impression that the price for those buying after 30th September would go up. On the website, the price is £100, and that's it. The only indication I have seen that I will be asked for more is on here from people who have spoken to people in the shop.
If you are an occasional fan who bought it just because of the offer, you will be pretty cheesed off when you get that call.

| Just went on club website and it is not obvious where you go to buy a 2012 season ticket. It is hidden away in "Become a Member" at the bottom of the home page. You would have thought that there would be a big splash on the home page promoting 2012 season tickets (not memberships)! The casual visitor would just give up if it is not in yer face.

Indeed - I know there are a lot of plates to spin at the moment, but the marketing effort for the ST's has been pretty disappointing to date.
There are some really simple, low cost things that could be happening now, that aren't.

Now a cynic would say that it is shrewd tactics, worthy of, say, a double glazing salesman. Get twice as many people signed up as previous based upon a target you probably won't reach. On 1st October, ring everyone up and give them the hard sell, and if you keep 75% of them, you've increased your season ticket sales by 50% and at full price.
Just saying, like

Which is a tactic that might work once, after which you've poisoned the well.
OK if you're making a once in a lifetime sale with little chance of repeat custom but not for an organisation wishing to make multiple sales to the same group.
