The fact is you have bills to pay, wages to pay, etc etc and without any money comming and the loss of other revenue such as season tickets, sponsorship you have no choice but to sell some assets to cover these costs.
It seems like a cash flow problem to me.

And the reason it might have been different at the Crusaders is that perhaps their investors were willing to put some money into the pot to keep things ticking over. Also the owners there will have known the full extent of the problems and accounted for things as they are the same owners as pre admin.

Also the owners at Cru probably had a plan worked out pre admin where as Ted took you to deaths door with very little breathing space.

I'm not really complaining what should happen to you if you go in admin, what i'm peeved about is the difference in treatment of us and Crusaders.

The diffrence could be that Crusaders had collateral (ground) you unfortunatly do not.

If you mean the third one on the conveyor belt then I seriously doubt it as Wigan have already touted him to be playing in the first team for them at some stage this season.

As for Ferguson, again like Obst he has to leave with our respect. Hopefully he will get the game time he deserves in SL at Shudds and doesnt become a squad player. A shame he has left, but who can blame him when theres very little security left when your an employee of Wakefield at the moment.

yeah is it logan? be a good opportunity for him to get some game time for a club where results dont matter, other than pride, (i may get shot down for saying it, but right now, its how it seems) before he goes into the wigan side challenging for honours.

Can't say I'm that impressed with the Giants. They don't need him or Murphy really. They are just taking advantage of a cheap price because we are in trouble.

Glad Murphy is staying loyal for now and hope we get it sorted so we can offer him something to stay.

I really wouldn't think Murphy has any say in the matter,the administrators will do what's "necassery" for the creditors.

He does, you cant force him to sign, especially if the terms of he deal arnt sufficient for him. As in theoretically he was on say 30k with us and Hudds offered him 25k a year. The administrators cant say, "well you have to sign".. can they ?

I obviously have no idea of the in's and out's but wouldn't think the administrators are particularly worried about loss to the players,they'll just concentrate on getting transfer fees to pay the creditors.

The Administrator's job is to get the best possible result for the company's creditors, their job is not to maintain Wakey's first team squad.

Blaming the Administrators misses the point that, without the Administration process, Wakefield would be in compulsory liquidation, all the contracts would have been void and ALL the players would have walked to other clubs. You wouldn't have a club at all, at least this way the club still has a chance.

Trading any company in Administration is costly and there are bills to be paid. They need to find cash from somewhere and, in the absence of an immediate sale of the club, that has come from player sales.

FWIW I still think all this will be for the best in the long run as far as Wakey are concerned; the way the club was being run was completely unsustainable and something drastic needed to happen.
