| I hope none of the players read this forum or they might start to believe there is no point turning up to Salford. Some of you seem to get off on running down the team. I rarely go to a game and see a lack of effort and that is the only time they deserve such negativity. Get behind the players and MC they are doing there best with a bad run of injuries and a small budget.

| After watching Wigan and Leeds play on fri I don’t think we are any worse than those two with half our squad sat on the side lines .Get the team fired up for Salford today and once again we’ll be looking forward and not behind us

| Salford do have a habit of slapping our backsides though. The big worry for me is the Lui/Hastings match up with Brough/Miller. The Salford pair ooze class.

| I think what happens when you go through an injury crisis is that when you are in the early stages of it players dig in and a bit of a backs to the wall mentality kicks in, you win games that you don't expect to given the players you have missing. Then when you get to a stage when a couple of players come back into the side, expectations are high and you have a bit of a slump. This is all the more frustrating because the fans think that 'if we can beat X-Y-Z with all those players missing we should be winning now with bodies back' this makes it harder to swallow when you lose a few.
Whatever the reason for the slump when players are back (wear and tear on the non injured players/players rushing back to early) it's a pattern you see repeated.
I think we're in our post injury crisis slump, need to get ourselves out of it quickly before we get dragged into the dog fight and pressure starts to build from the teams below and around us.

Points difference getting worse. And probably past -70 after next week's thrashing from Warrington

Maybe they do read it because they haven't turned up. Again.

| At the end of the day though too, professional sportsmen are happy to receive all the praises, and accolades.
Surely, they should be prepared fora bit of criticism, when it comes their way, if warranted.
It's when it gets personal, when fans cross the line.
Nothing wrong with constructive criticism

| Quote ="Khlav Kalash"Danny Ward has got to be up for coach of the year. He's doing a great job with London, a bit Trinity-esque of years gone by. I do think as our collective opinion of ourselves has risen over the past 3 years I fear we have lost that bit of mongrel, that instinct to survive, that's dragged us out of seemingly impossible situations. Are we up for the fight now? Time will tell.'"
Well the first test suggests we're not. Last six games players have been out enthused. I guess the Trinity players of the past knew their SL career depended upon Trinity being in the top flight. Today's players know they'll be plenty of clubs waiting to pick them up if we went down so relegation is no threat to them.

I cannot see us ever having a full first-choice team again this season and I don't know where the next win is gonna come from. It hurts me to say it.

Well I did say the players can't have much personal pride in their performances given their 'attempts' at atonement in the second London game. They went down there unfocused, unmotivated, and full of their own importance, and got their s smacked for a second time, from which we haven't recovered. The whole squad including the coaching staff have rested on their laurels and are now paying the price. At least Chester now acknowledges we are in a relegation battle, but like you say, do the players care?? We will see...........

| The problem to me is when people talk about pride and then say it's because of the London games or now Salford game they seem to forget both teams are good teams and have beaten other top teams.
We need to sort it out and our goal line defence is ridiculous but it's not a pride thing.

| We were 42-6 down at London, they are still bottom of the league........but yes they are a decent enough side i'm not saying they aren't, it's a pretty competitive league as is now being proven. The problem I have is eternally optimistic idiots who don't know what realism is, and can't see the wood for the trees.

I appreciate your positivity. I really do. But i fear it is built on sand. This team is going to be busted until nearly the end of the season. Weather or no weather if your pack is e, you're going to have problems.

| The reduced interchange seems to have crippled the pack. Too big and lazy to be effective for long periods. Looks like the club didn't prepare and get them to trim down a bit and up the fitness levels. It's showing

The added problem to this is every week we are at least 2 players down after 15/20 mins . England Kirmond Randall today which makes it even more difficult for an already busted team .

Didn't have a choice. Had to play these players as we only had 18 players to chose from, one was Guaze who hasn't played 1st team yet.

| It was awful to watch today. I’m usually a glass half full person but I’m afraid it’s empty at the moment. Normally go home and away but at this moment don’t think I’ll be making the trip over the m62 on Friday. There is no direction at all and no fire in the belly. London are playing with spirit we have nothing

I'd go along with that if it wasn't for the fact that Fifita is going OK yet England can't hack it.
I'd put it down to continually having players injured in games as much as anything else. The easily injured ones are the ones to lose if we can.
I also think our forwards used to benefit from a back 5 who made great yardage on kick returns. We are seriously reduced in that area with Tom and Bill out.
Then take Fifita out and we look poor.
Not sure what's happened to Kopczak as he looked really good at the start but has drifted a bit now. Either as you say he's playing too many minutes or he's carrying an injury.

Fifita is the only one who looks able to manage the reduced interchanges, and is pretty much carrying the pack. No wonder he's injured

that deference will be gone next week when we get smashed by Warrington - very very worrying times..

| A pasting due at Wire. We seem busted in every sense. No backs to the wall mentality visible or desire to defend.
Randal constantly injured, not value for money.
Pauli is a big lazy lump. England looks shot etc etc...
Lads clearly playing busted. Got away with it last 2 years so the focus dropped from the fitness regime but it seems to me the structure on the field is wrong.

| Maybe Randell's op should have been sorted in the close season, if he was playing with it during the latter part of last season.
In all due fairness, since he came, he damaged ankle ligaments, right at the back end of 2017, and didn't really miss too many games.
He then came back and suffered severe knee ligament damage in the Boxing Day friendly.
At the end of the day, ligament damage happens to the best of them.
Wouldn't say he's always injured, and use him just yet as the scapegoat.
I do agree though, regarding Pauli, and just think Englands best days are behind him, and if we do keep him, purely as a back up prop
