| Those bagging James Webster need to realise he is not Richard Agar!! This is a huge step forward for us right now and one that needed to be taken. There was no guarantee it ever would happen, but now it has, flipping well enjoy it!!
Those pushing for Morrison should take note that he too took his initial steps into coaching under the teachings of one Richard Agar. Why would he be any better than James Webster? He has no first grade experience. If he was still coaching a youth team under Agar, would he be held in such high regard? It smacks of desperation to be clambering for him.
We have James Webster. Let's get behind the bloke!!

Hmmm I guess you are right.
I'm still feeling it after Bradford. Maybe the players knew there was a change coming.
I've no real problem with Webster and I've met him so I know he's a likable guy.
He'll get my full backing.
But personally, a well run professional club should start a recruitment process not just hand it to the next in line.
I've heard Webster talked about as a good prospect as coach but I'd have liked someone with experienced hands myself.
This was always my issue with the Agar haters. No one was thinking ahead to this day.

| Webster will have his own ideas and yes he was under Agar but for me the one important thing to do is appoint a good defensive assistant to work with him for me that is a must.Agar has now gone lets get behind Webster and you never know he just might be the man to make things happen.

| Backing Webster, best of luck, give it your best and get those players busting a gut. It will be very interesting to see his choices re players and if there is a change in style of play ie focus on defence. He is a half back by trade so will be very interesting to see who his first choice 6 and 7 are.

| So, the Board knew Agar was leaving at the end of the season, for a number of weeks .
If they knew his heart was no longer in it, and presumably so did the players, why the hell has he being left at the helm for so long?
What a sorry state of affairs .

| Don't have a clue how these things work but I'd guess Webster will have the players in and ask their opinions on why we've been so poor, maybe RA did but you're hardly likely to tell the guy that picks the team, plus he has 11 days to get the squad playing his style, all the best James, you're gonna need it.

| Must say I would have preferred a new look coaching team, but am willing to get behind Webster. He has two weeks to make some changes, get some players back and go to get a mni run of form together. I wish both all the best.
Interesting to know just how much stepping down and how much pushing there was, as presumably this would influence the compensation package and the funds which wouold be available to entice a new coach / pay compensation to another club.

| You should get an improvement in player performance with a new bloke in charge even if he used to be the assistant. It might not have the effect that a new bloke from outside might have for shaking things up but it was clear that Agar’s time was up.
Is Webster there until the end of the season or until someone else is appointed. If he’s just holding the fort then that’s less good for you lot.
I expect fans to expect clear improvements straightaway. I’d be cautious. When we finally got shut of McNamara it took a whole season before Potter managed to turn things around.

| No idea Bullseye how long the appointment of Webster is. I guess until the end of the season would be a good choice with a review then.
If he can get 3 wins out of them before the end of the season then that would be good.
I'd find it funny if we managed to send Salford down. Now that would be a story.
