I'd prefer to play Moore than Smith. Everytime i've seen Smith in the last couple of years he looks like a players whose bottle has gone.

Talking to a former Batley team mate of his, he reckons moore has all the skills req for him to become a very good number 7 but is not yet rugby tough enough to be playing super league. Perhaps a dual reg deal with York could work out well in the long run.

That's where hopefully Clawson will come through! Moore will be there in the wings if our halfs lose form which happens. It's up to Moore to take any chance he gets.

York would be better off exploring the option of dual registration with Liam Kaye and or Kieran Hyde. Both would go well in championship while pushing for a shot at wakey.

Fev or Batley would be great to form a partnership for this kind of thing with. Two clubs very close and with experienced coaches. Interesting in football how you'll see top managers like Ferguson and Wenger only send players they see as a year or two away from being 'ready' to coaches they trust and with the experience to develop their players in the way they'd want.

I'd like to see Moore and poss kaye in the odd game partner Isaac John in the halves. think Moore could make a very good player but we also need to give him time and not expect too much too soon. If we do sign smith then I hope it's not only for a playing role but also to help develop players like Moore Kaye and wildie. Him together with agar and Webster who were good half backs themselves should really be able to develop our youngsters

I think that Wildie should be given the first shot at half alongside a.n.other in front of Moore. Played mostly in reserves as a halfback i think and looked good in a part of a game last season when he was given a short run at 7.

I'd be disappointed if we weren't developing Moore next season; I think he's got the skills, attitude and aptitude to be a great player but would agree with the poster who mentioned a lack of 'rugby toughness.' A dual reg would help with that, perhaps at Fev or Dewsbury - can't see him feeling too comfortable at Batley, didn't he leave under a cloud?
