I'd agree with that, aslong as they are 'confident' about Martin and Drew's fitness......
Dont forget Drew was in the squad to face Celtic, and they had no intention of playing him. If Martin is not 100% would go with Brough at 7 and Obst at 6..................Grix has struggled last couple of games.

| can't see DB being dropped. Leo Latu is more likely to miss out or possibly Martin if he isn't 100%.
if we weren't so short in the front row then Bibb or maybe Pitts would be taking a break

| Brough will defo play against his old club. He'll be well up for it and JK will know that. Plus DB played well against Leigh and JK will be keen to give him more game time to get match fit.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Gleeson moved to the wing and Martin into his favoured position.
He may chose to rest Sam if reports he's still not 100% are believed?
Should be a hell of a game, just hope we turn up as if not we'll get well beat by a very good Cas side.

| Can't drop Latu Need him for his impact coming from the bench, he can really change a game.
50/50 on Grix not been too good but he has just come back from an injury, sure JK will pick right team though

Drop Grix IMO not been up to much.
Depends on who is fit, Need Latu out there though IMO he is a real threat coming off the bench.
Tough decision but it's about time that has happend

It depends whether he is used as a battering ram though just running the ball up with no support. His tackling for me needs to improve as well, but i'm putting that down to a lack of match fitness thus far

| I don't think Kear likes to 'drop' players, except in exceptional circumstances, after last year's drop in form from too many player changes.
Unless there are any players who are carrying knocks and are not 100% I would be very surprised if JK didn't continue with the same team as played Leigh.

Sorry to disagree again but -
The fact that it is Cas and he may be up for it makes him a liability. Brough does not play well when he let's his emotions take control. Cas and there fans know just how to wind him up.
Brough didn't play well against Saints or Leigh IMHO, he made Grix look a fool and Grix didn't need any help against Saints.
Centre is not Martins favoured position anymore, he is the best half back at the club and he knows it.
Sam is fit as far as I know.
Cas are not a VERY good side, Saints and Leeds are.
Brough is a fine player and very gifted but he lacks the cool head required to beat Cas at their place, the team is far better balanced with Drew and Martin pulling the strings.
It will be brave of JK to drop Brough but it wouldn't surprise me. FWIW that's how I see it.

Has Latu done anything this year, I have seen nothing from him so far. In fact if I were to keep Brough I'd drop the non performing Latu and play Brough at 9 interchanging with Drew.

TBF if he wouldn't be dropping Brough in terms of form as both Drew and Martin were exceptional before their short injury spell, Brough IMHO hasn't been.

Brough and Rooney were our most effective half back pairing last season. Drew and Martin have been the most effective pairing this season so far. There's only room for one dictator.
Don't see where you get the bit about Brough not having the cool head to beat Cas, though. He took them apart in Wales last year.

For me it is quite clear that the club has 'bulked' Latu up considerably (so he can slot into the 13 role)........he carrying much more muscle that last year, and as a result he has lost some of his zip!
