Got mine this morning, good few in the shop getting there season tickets.The women in the shop would not tell me how many we had sold, she said she did not want to get my hopes up, just in case we did not make 2500. But she did say we are getting there.

Not being funny with you mate but Facebook is not the way to do this, put a count down clock on the website or use the clock for the next game thats already on there.

Facebook and twitter is so unprofessional and makes the club look cheap.

Can't agree there; social media is the most powerful medium for marketing that currently exists; it does have to be done properly though, avoiding some of the early faux pas', like the senior team passing boozy anecdotes or making quips about interbreeding in Cas.

Agree about the countdown though; that would have been a useful way to get people to feel 'bought in.'

Overall, I believe they'll do it, but I'm disappointed at the way it's been marketed; there didn't seem to be a particularly cohesive strategy and it felt a bit rushed.

I think the best thing the club could do is honour however many tickets are bought at £100 before the end of September and then charge the standard prices after that if they don't reach the 2,500 target.

Then if the offer is repeated next year, those who didn't purchase at the reduced rate may make the effort to get them sooner meaning more money in to the club earlier in the close season to help budget for the next season.

What are the alternative membership options - say for those who live a long way away and aren't likely to get to more than a handful of games?

Keep the cabin open and sell some tickets, just a thought.

Clearly sales at the cabin haven't been that good and the club have decided to use the staff in the Ridings on this occasion.

This morning I got my season ticket for Adelaide United soccer team who play in the A- league and they have the following membership category for fans that live too far away to attend games.

AUFC have an average attendance of around 10,000 and like Cas have had severe financial difficulties in the last couple of years when the main sponsor pulled out as his business was hit by the GFC. But the club had a new Board installed and have looked at new ideas such as this to generate income and increase the supporters base.

From a legal standpoint, as Slugger has suggested, I don't think they have much choice.

People know about the cabin because its been there all year and surely if we lost ten sales its ten too many.

If people know about it, it doesn't make people buy anything from it!

Apparently it's been something of a flop. I doubt it does 10 sales a week, never mind on a single afternoon.

We only have so many staff, so it was probably a toss up between the cabin or Ridings.

Have faith, we will hit the 2500 target and there will be no 'refund' mullarky!

Very little has been mentioned of these, I see now (after searching!) that Bronze is £10 and Silver is £30. I'm sure I only paid £20 for my Silver this year.

Called in this afternoon to buy two season tickets and the lad wrote 24 9 11 on the top of the sheet.
