I wonder who the football club is that Sir Rodney was saying could share the stadium, doesn't having a football club at the Stadium increase the funds able to be used from Lottery funding etc

Potentially it brings a number of benefits - more opportunity for revenue, which in turn covers costs, assuming it can be made to work around the anchor tennant. However, in typical SRW style, we have no idea who this is or what he has in mind. This way of working is what ultimately led to him leaving the Stadium Trust as we were wanting to be much more open in the details of the discussions taking place, supposedly on our behalf. There is much we never fully know!

So will Cas be kicked out of SL and forced to leave their hovel too then ? Surely there's no difference. They may have the go ahead to build but I haven't seen any sign of a brick being laid !

How can box, YC keep referring to a "new trust"? Surely you can't just turn up and say "I've set up a new trust". Don't they need to be registered, and available to view publicly?

Stricter ground criteria starts next year and being in a new stadium for 2019 is highly unlikely even if things took a positive turn which right now looks a mile off.

The original would get my vote, along with everyone elses i'd have thought. BUT if there was no chance of the developer working with you and the only way was some form of amalgamation with the proviso that the deal worked in some way for the club then i'd be willing to support it. Ultimately its not about posturing or dick measuring, its about doing what it takes to get the damn thing built and get a future for our club. I guess we'll know where we stand in a months time.

Agree, it's about getting the stadium built on acceptable terms and securing the future of the club. No one on the this Trust gives a damn about credit or kudos. If Rodney's Trust feel the same way there is no problem but as of now it's not registered, he will not say who his Trustees are and we are not allowed to see the terms of the agreement.

Not surprising that their motives are being questioned.

I'd have nothing to do with criminals in suits....it's all very frustrating and disappointing for a team that is possibly going to finish in the top 5 in the country.

My brief experience of business and the planning world elsewhere in the country was a real eye opener as to how shady it really is and this is a classic example of it in my opinion.

Those that genuinely believe in Wakefield Trinity need to keep the faith and keep up the pressure keeping it in the media...

He's been in charge of getting a stadium for the people of Wakefield for 8 years, and nothings happened.
He's got a lot of fingers in a lot of pies, what with the story's that are coming out of this debacle and the way he's conducting himself with the Trust, the club and the council, people are just going to fill in the blanks.
