Quite possible. To expand that "devil's advocate" theory a little further I know that if Cala had wanted to sell the ground back to the club a request to provide a loan to facilitiate this would NOT have been met warmly from the club's current bank (yes, even with the collateral that could be gained from the land).
In that case it seems plausible that Ted & others could have formed another company in the IoM (to avoid issues about his IVA) to buy back the land & then sell it on to Yorkcourt.
One final thing for people to think about, the sale to Cala was agreed at the height of the construction bubble and IF they were still buying the land from us we would be due another £600k from them. If the new deal with Yorkcourt sees WT getting £350k instead, then the net result for the club (i.e. £250k less than originally planned in 2007, but paid when NM gets planning permission rather than when we leave BV) is still quite reasonable given the current market for development land.
Overall, it's just another reason why we need to get a completely clean slate through Administration & the sooner the better'"

Newmarket is not the issue here, though no doubt questions will be asked on the various 'Trusts' set up to aid the club. (And, let's be honest , the 'community' the stadium would serve the most is Wakefield Trinity RLFC.) |

I will do as I always have done - the best I can do for Wakefield Trinity. There is nothing I would change from what I have done to this point - and NM remains our biggest real hope for the future and is likely to be the one reason anyone would be interested in us.
Whether people want to get the pitchforks out is up to them, but there are serveral people who have been working hard to ensure that supporters voices and wishes are represented going forward.
=#BF0040The big question now is - assuming we go into admin and in the event that either no investor, or a collection of small timers get involved - would those people who said no to the £1,000 investment put that, or what they can afford, into a fighting fund to help buy the club out of administration, either entirely or to sit alongside a new BoD. If enough funding were available, it could result in a fully democratic representative (or more) on the BoD - i.e. you decide who gets the job! |

O'Hara's would be the obvious choice as potential Administrators given that they did Crusaders so they know what the RFL require to allow the club to continue in SL this year.
While any Administrator would be prepared to spend a bit of time answering outline questions from anyone, I don't think they'd go into much detail with anyone other than whoever formally appoints them (i.e. the company or the bank). |

agreed, but they would be obliged to look into raised concerns from shareholders, a "heads up" if you like.
i would also suggest someone contacts the rfl raising shareholders concerns, baring in mind ted is under appeal still at the moment, perhaps he can be immediately suspended pending an inquiry??

Please remember that we have been working on the Supporters Trust for several months, long before all this was known. We were not ready to come forward to supporters for a while yet ... but because of current events we had to 'come out' sooner.
As yet there isn't an 'official' Supporters Trust - we had to have meeting to get mandate from fans before anything can happen. We now have to become affiliated to Supporters Direct, who we have been working with all the time - and that will take a while.
We have a lot of filled in forms of fan's interest and a mandate to go forward.
BUT at present we have no members, no membership fees, no shares and no formal affiliated Trust.
We are working as hard and fast as we can and having several meetings a week sometimes. So we cannot demand or have the right to influence such crucial matters as yet

What a sad and depressing state of affairs; it's a pity that the people who have designed and implemented these complicated acts of financial chicanery didn't apply the same level of thought and energy to running the club properly.
From the outside looking in, it seems that Emperor Ted has been fiddling whilst Trinity burns, in a very literal sense.
