| Quote ="Tricky2309"We were given a lesson by the Giants in how to play the game. Faster, fitter, and did the basics right.
Their forwards were coming onto the ball at full tilt, support players were on their shoulder and they actually drew a man before passing the ball. When in defence, they had one man around the legs and one up top and they actually moved up in defence instead of being stood still. Quick play the balls and scoots from dummy half exploiting the laziness of our marker defence.
It should not be too much to ask professional RL players to do (or at least try all of the above).
Even when the game was well and truly gone and we had nothing to lose by throwing the ball about, we still persisted in the main with the 5 drives and a very poor kick option. On the couple of occasions we did try to through the ball about, we actually made a couple of half breaks.'"
good post this.
how you described us was precisely what we havent been since easter, we have been very poor for a few weeks, and i think wakefield,l ike ponner said, received the backlash

| Yesterdays shambles left me more disapointed with the club than I have been for an awful long time. I genuinely thought that these days had long gone, that we were a more professionally run outfit these days, that the adversity that the club had been through had brought it out of the other side stronger. I was horribly wrong. Yesterday the team showed no desire to roll up their sleeves and work for each other. A shocking kicking game backed up with an even worse chase was a tell tale sign that something was not right. Now throw in so many soft missed tackles, players going missing when the hard yards needed making and lazy attacking options then it couldn't really get much worse. The team spirit looked non existant and it was obvious for all to see that something is going on. The unforgivable shambles with the Adam Watene walkers just about sums up how the club is being run at the moment. The PR the club is getting is embarrassing and is harming the club badly, possibly beyond repair with the floating supporters. The last couple of weeks have set the club back five years.

| Sadly have to agree with all that. No pride on the pitch - no idea off it. Crap PR & marketing of games. What the hell has millions of kids jumping around on the pitch pre-match and at half time got to do with rugby? It's an embarrassing shambles. Are we a dance academy or rl team? I can only assume we are hoping to pick up points in the "Community" category for the next round of franchise applications, but god help us if we are relying on that. What about some peewee games at half time? Some half decent bands, etc? When you compare the Belle Vue match day experience with that of just about every other club we come up short. It's on days like these, when the on-field performance has been so pitiful, that supporters, and more importantly the would-be supporters, cast a critical eye on other aspects of the clubs efforts. Add this to the shameful snubbing of the walkers (and as a club I would bet we rely on the goodwill of people like Acko / Feline etc more than most clubs) and you have to ask if there was anything on offer which was remotely polished or professional about the whole day.

| can't really let this go without writing something....
after performances like this (and we have seen several over the past few years) i always look as to who would definately be on the team sheet next week, who i would give another chance to on the teamsheet next week and who i would try to replace if possible...
on the teamsheet
Obst
moore
give another chance
bibey
rooney
try to replace
the rest!!!!
it was no coincidence that hudds started to get a grip of the game when bibey and moore went off, when they returned it was too late and hudds had their back up.
very disappointed with the decision and i believe that something (pm me please if you know!!!) has happened to disrupt the team. team spirit lacking, needs sorting asap - but i am not saying anything that anyone else hasn't already said......e.g. dominated in forwards, no spark in attack etc etc

| Sat back and read all the comments since the defeat, deciding not to post until i had digested everything.
The on field problems were there for all to see, more worrying to me are the off field problems, notably:
1.Cons comments about something that has happened to affect the players, which he considered to be disgusting.Once again as a club,we are allowing the rumours to be fuelled.
2.TRBs comments.
3.Selection policy - this has confused me for weeks now.On Sunday the selection of Bibb surprised me.Im fairly sure Bibb played in the reserves on Saturday - which would indicate Ollie only injured himself on Saturday, just cant see why you would select a player that played on Saturday over Winterstein - Snitch could have covered as another prop.
Playing a half back combination of a centre and a player making his first full appearance after injury.Week in and week out we appear to shuffle the team all around - when it looks as though there are more straight forward routes. On Sunday,we 3 p-layers that key postions are Stand off,Srum Half and Hooker -- Rooney,Obst and Latu - so why not start them there -- Martin goes back to his centre spot and JD goes back to his LF spot -- the only problem you are left with is spelling Latu -- either pick another hooker in the squad(young Blake?) or spell Latu with Grix.
If Drew and Brough are back next week - i shudder to think what combinations JK will come up with.

| Bibb only played 20 mins on Sat............................thought Stoisic did ok for first run out in a while, but we missed Olly's workrate with the ball in hand.
Glad someone pointed out about the problem from marker............Moore busted a gut yesterday, but if you watch the game/tries again he cost us two (wrong position at play the ball, allowing Robinson to scoot past him). There were too many individual mistakes (Gleeson cost us two scores, and they were from 'plays' that Hudds use regularly and the team had watched on video several times during the week!!) JK can 'coach' them, and show them what to expect, but if they miss tackles/turn over possesion so easily, what can he do???
There will defo be BIG changes for Saturday!!
Brough was stood next to me for most of the game, and was mortified, you could see how hurt him and JK were by what they saw, expect a turn around this week.
One little moan.........why, when things are going tits up and the players need telling/moativating..........do we continue to send CS out with messages/tactics etc.............Beans should have marched on when they got to 30 points and given the players a proper rocket.........

Don't forget neither of them has played for a good long time, and as props in the hottest day of the year so far they where on a hiding to nothing.
For what its worth, I don't think that was our worst performance of the year when all other factors are taken into consideration. Credit to Huddersfield too, they where red hot and have looked like doing this to somebody all year. Just a shame they got us with 3 of our best players missing, a clould over the club and a handfull of other issues (including the prop one above).
The thing I don't get is, why are we supposed to be bothered about getting beat by Huddersfield - since when has this mattered? I feel no worse about getting beat by these than getting beat by Wigan/Hull KR/Wire/London or any other number of clubs. Now a loss to Cas however......

They are my thoughts too. Whats the point of beans been there ? Give colin the head phones. Or better still get Kear on the sidelines and give the bollocking's himself.

Wigan (twice), in my opinion - all things taken into consideration. To say the circumstances around at the moment should not be taken into account is a bit of a daft statement for me.
For the record, I think our best performance came in defeat - away at Hull KR, again taking into account the circumstances.
