Would be interesting to check the timings of the Northstand roof payment. At that time I think that Glover and James Elston were on the trust, Rodney Walker by the sound of things basically ran the Trust and no one questioned him at that time, it is suggested that he alone attended meetings with Yorkcourt and the Council, no other members of the trust were invited to these meetings. Glover was committed to the Northstand Roof but did not have any money. It is rumored that Rodney picked up the bill for the roof, now it would be interesting if this was at the same time as Rodney , council and developer getting the fridge outside of the 106. Under normal circumstances you would expect Rodney wanting a parade of the city in his honor for paying for the roof. It only came to light when Glover went then it is suggested in Wakey Pub talk that Rodney then advised new owners that he was owed money for the roof. All speculation of course but interesting never the less, may very well be this new thing called Fake News

Well his purported considerable influence did not do that much good as far as Newmarket is concerned or else we would not be where we are today.

As far as remaining passive I would suggest allowing Newcold to remain outside the trigger area is more than passive, its laying down and having his tummy tickled.

I don't know RW but for my two peneth, I can't imagine even the most powerful of chairmen is able to get something moving if the council don't want to do it.
Regardless of the key decision and whether it was a constructed conspiracy or just a mistake, the lack of action implies it isn't important enough to the people that can make a difference...including Walker.
The only way it will happen if there is political pressure on those that can make something happen rather than trying to change those that could have, didn't and are now no longer here to do it.

If RW was on the board, or had any financial interest in YCP, surely he would have declared that to the Trust when he was being considered as Chair, so they could make an informed decision about any potential conflict of interest?

Such a significant stage in the continuing saga (RMW's resignation) is surely a trigger for involving the Wakefield Express in the proceedings. It's time they splashed this Friday's front page with the whole shocking story, with full honesty and naming and shaming if/where appropriate. Isn't this what local newspapers are supposed to be for after all. I know Rodney Walker from the distant past and knew him as a man of honesty and integrity. I hope his standards haven't dropped. From what I remember it was paid off in stages rather than all at one go.

I have been left the club nearly four years so cant remember exact dates but would say Nov-Dec 2012 time was the last payment

I'm purely guessing here, but maybe it's either not to say something that ultimately can not be proven or keeping the powder dry so not to impeed any potential legal action.

I imagine that the trust members who post on here, who were not on the trust at the time that RW and Box allowed the fridge to be built outside of the 106 are in the dark as much as the rest of us as to why this was allowed. Other than asking RW , James Elston, the West Yorkshire Windows man or David Hinchcliffe who I think were on the trust at that time, I dont see how we are likely to get an answer. I would suspect that JE, WYW man and DH will, if asked say that they were not informed and were in the dark as much as the rest of us.

Maybe he realised all was against him an got sick of fighting a loosing battle, for a man whose use to winning coming second is a bitter pill to swollow.

What I really don't understand is why is there any secrecy at all. The silence invites people to think the worst because it's been going on for so long. I just want people to say what the facts are not things that cannot be proved. The W.E. are useless; I've said on here before a good investigative journalist would have been into this like a terrier with a rat. Facts would have been published and parties invited for their comments but it's not happening and I don't know why.

The Wakefield Express is the councils mouthpiece, it's not produced in Wakefield anymore just lazy Leeds based journalists never any real news . I only purchase it to see if I've been in court or died, so far been in neither.

If the original planning application is about to lapse, what happens next ?
Does the land revert to green belt or, does the original plan simply roll over until Yorkcourt (or whoever has filled their shoes) finally start to develop the original site ?

Wasn't a separate inquiry takes place running parallel to the SOS inquiry that removed the land from Green Belt? I'm assuming a separate planning application minus the sporting facilities to go in within the year. If at the end of the days it's not in green belt what reason would you need to bulid the facilities?

What I'm asking is that, IF the planning application lapses (after 5 years ?) does the land revert to green belt or, will it remain as "industrial" building land and is there the possibility that we may not get a renewal of PP to build a stadium at NM.

The Inquiry I was referring to was the local development framework (LDF) that took place around the same time but seperate to PI. I understood this took Newmarket out of the green belt. When PP for the stadium and the warehousing units lapses the land will still be out of the green belt which would be consistent with the LDF.

There has been a start on site (the access road if not Newcold) so the outline has been fulfilled. As far as I'm aware a detailed/RMA was never submitted.
