I think to be honest you've got to forget about the money, it's about weather or not his heart is in it, Kear will, know and make the decision, if one has to be made on that.
The money angle can work either way, I would imagine what's best for the team is number 1 priority, if we have to take 1 step back to take 2 forward later then so be it, it's his "kevin keegan selling andy cole and then buying alan shearer" moment!! If this is the case it shows kears continued commitment to the club, so maybe as DBs off at the end of the season anyway, it's a bit of a win win situation for us?

| Just been adding two and two togther and coming up with five.
Brough released early from Wakefield for some wonga and a couple of players.(with Fart Own 'underwriting' their wages). Any money saved plus any money saved on Turry's wages goes to signing Brett Finch who gets an early release from his NRL contract and comes over in time for the Salford game.
And despite all this Marsden Giant will be saying that we only sold Brough to pay back money owed to the local milkman who had threatened us with a winding up order.
Ahhhhh, this Bostik is luvverley.

The 90k Newton was on + the potential DB contract = A massive signing & a fitting steward to lead us to Newmarket!

| i like many people will be disappointed if danny goes but he would gone at end of season anyway but we need a like for like replacement.him going would leave the club with out a in my terms a proper scrum half, i disagree with some posters saying there is no difference between 6 and 7 to me there is big difference, who we bring in is any body guess (i know its def not kirmond)but as long as they come and do a good job thats all we can ask for.i am though dissappointed in the club for letting him go at this stage of the season for what i thought wouldnt be a large amount.i also think danny is making a mistake he is going to a club where he wont be there main star i cant see how he and robinson can play together then there is drew to come back.i also wonder what shudds fans think cos they a getting a quality player but somone who sulks when hes not in the limlight(happend many times last season when on pitch with drew)but a player who is only going for one thing MONEY

I for one don't doubt you, the guy is bankrupt and has to chase the money afterall he's a young man with a young family to keep. How he's managed to get in to trouble when earning what I presume will be a very good wage only he knows. He's got himself into this mess and he's got to get himself out of it. Heard a figure of 150k per season offered by us which is a mammoth contract. Hudds allegedly able to offer around 20k a season more over 4 years. That's nearly three quarters of a million big ones! Also heard mr davey willing to get him out of debt too so depending on how much trouble he's in the whole package could be worth an absolute fortune. He's been great for us on the whole but we have shown before we can manage without him and if he does go no doubt we will manage without him again. Thanks for the memories danny (if you do go which seems inevitable) and good luck in sorting out your life whether that be at the wildcats or elsewhere.

| The bit I don't get here is, Danny, judging by hair do's etc, is well in touch with his appearance. (Something, I may add, that I am not )
So why the hell does he want to cavort around a rugby field in yellow and purple.

Theres one thing i dont quite get here --- the bankruptcy.
If hes bankrupt - thats the legal way of clearing your debts. So why the need for a financial package to rescue him.Surely he has already "rescued" himself by going bankrupt.

| With Danny being strong enough to put in good performances on the field despite the off-field pressures he has had to deal with,I can only presume the important people at the club were aware of his difficult circumstances.I was under the impression that the action taken in November is the lowest it can get and then things start to improve.
It does seem a strange way to repay the loyalty of those at the club - in particular J.K. who was seen on television sharing an embrace with Danny post-match on Friday.
I admire the 'edge' that Danny has, that fire in his belly, which some people possess and it makes them tick - excellent when it is controlled, but not so good when it may impact on teammates and impair their confidence.
Having endured major losses myself I realise money isn't everything and I would like Danny to stay at the club.I like watching him.He suits the club and the club suits him.
The timing of this seems particularly strange.
If he hasn't signed anything yet there is still time for Danny to change his mind and pledge his future to WTW.

| Once bankrupt and you earn over a certain amount then you have to repay your debts. Obviously Brough will be above the threshold on earnings so this will be a temporary measure. Basically he'll be cutting down his outgoings on a monthly basis instead of paying say £500 a month for example he may get away with paying £100 a month (dont quote me on figures theyre just examples).

Are you talking about future income payments he will have to make?
Any extra cash he has /new contract -- he will have to inform the reciever and they may well just take that extra from him.

Correct but the Courts have control over any assets you may have and they can be sold to pay off any creditors. Also there are other implications such as it being very difficult to obtain credit in the future and not being able to stand for Parliament but I guess that will not bother him.
