Did the dropped ball allowing Orr to score not cost Trinity the win in normal time. Or the high shot which lead to the penalty in the 77th minute, or the non-existant tackling that allowed Chase to ghost through a gap to score, or the poor kicks allowing Cas to gain momentum and decent field position, or the failure to take a drop goal in front of the sticks in normal time....

What about the errors over the last 89minutes and 58 seconds??
Granted,it was a bad call from Morton.But that mistake in isolation didnt cost us that game,there were numerous other mistakes/factors that contributed to the loss.
By your flawed logic,a player could play out of his skin for 89 min 58 sec,score six tries pull off numerous try saving tackles,but then make a bad call in the last second.You would then say that player cost you the game.

Having been there I cannot agree with that. We didn't do an up and under for an hour!

The kicking game was a bit lacking in imagination - given the swirling wind, we should have been giving it some height more often; Griffin has proven ability to pluck them out of the air, and Johnson is an athletic lad who could certainly have challenged.

On the first point though, I agree - Morton had a good game, with one unforced error that proved costly; having watched it again, he does surprisingly well in collision against much bigger lads - he's obviously getting gnarlier as time goes on.

Agree about Morton. Whilst I still can't quite comprehend what he thought he was doing, he did ok in the rest of the match. Hopefully he'll be playing Sunday to put his error right.
