a poor game by both teams standards and shaun mcrae would have described it has a knockonathon, both teams can play much better and stanley had one or two players missing.positives for us was we still had a lot of defending to do on our own line and despite it been our worst show of the year we still managed a win.
in another u10s game it finished
drighlington 12 lock lane 36'" It was not that bad of a game it was a game of 2 teams compltey different sides rangers who have the size and i will stick neck out the number 10 reminds me of a young P Anderson at same age and will make same sort of grade where panthers had skill and pace both team tried very hard in deed but the panthers have 4 or 5 strike players where rangers had 2 at most.

yeah all can play better IMHO and the Stanley lads must listen to Richard more , still not to down as i think my lad can take some positives from the game and was not that bad but he knocked on twice which is something i ain't seen before ,he is gutted as always after a defeat.

he played very well today, ran very strong and was without doubt stanleys biggest threat, has for knocking on my lad knocked on 4 times something he rarely does and was generally quiet by his standards.

| wow what weather that was this fine windy and very wet morning, the Stanley Rangers under 12s took another step forward in the barla cup as the brush aside West Bowling in what was the wettest game we have played for some time,
they came out victorious 10 points to nil scoring all the points in the first half with the driving rain in their faces, hoping to improve the score line in the second West Bowling who hadn't the same weather thrown at them held firm to keep the final score line close

my lad needs to start shouting orders , its no good coming off the field and telling me where the team went wrong ...a simple spread out would suffice. although our ste never sets the world on fire with electric speed he normally does his job and is normally a safe pair off hands but he will learn from Saturday.
the most accurate comment to come from our ste was "if we had played to our best we could of hammered them ......but then again if cas had not played like they did we would off got hammered.
still a entertaining game played and watched in a manner that befits junior rl

| just heard the Stanley Rangers under 12s have drawn Oulton raiders at home in the Barla cup quarter final which will be played a week on sat, we lost once 16-10 to them but had a try disallowed and another scored against us after our player had grounded it and our main player out with a broken leg so its pay back time.
the tie of the cup round is two favorites Stanningley v Hunlslet Parkside equivalent to the saints and rhinos in SL,
this sat we travel to the Normington Knights in the league which will also be a test as we play them in the Wakefield cup semi final that comes up at the end of the month

| cas panthers u10s face their toughest test of the season when they visit local rivals lock lane at sandy desert 10.30 saturday morning.
only two points seperated the two sides in the opening fixture of the season and with the pre match banter well under way in the schools it promises to be an hundinger of a game.

| tomorrow we travel to the Normington Knights for the Stanley Rangers under 12s, tonight at train it came to light that West Bowling expected to put 50 past us last week how wrong they were, I hope the same attitude of the players turn up as we played with 12 lads just into the second half,
hope it doesn't rain again

| Got Hunslet Parkside at home in the morning - after putting 50 points past them earlier in the season "Cooperman" said that the team would fold because of this and of course this was all our fault . Can't wait to see how many turn up tomorrow - daft get !

| ft u10s result
lock lane 4 castleford panthers 22
a lot closer than the scoreline suggests with lane throwing the kitchen sink at us early on but we withstood their efforts and opened up a 12-0 ht lead, again lane started strong second half before we went the length of the field to score.unfortunatley a mass brawl broke out and both teams had a player sent off for fighting, lane scored out wide but the panthers kept their cool and grabbed another try at the death to secure their 9th win of the season.
just want to add that it was a great game played in typical derby fashion and although there was 1 fight in general it was played hard but fair from both teams and after the brawl both sides got on with playing rugby.

| stanley 12s went down to normy nights 16-12 in what has to be the worse reffing I have ever seen the penalty count was 16 to 1 and our 1 penalty was a clear stiff armer that he should of at least taken a 10 min spell,
there was nothing between the scores but we was far the better team and they knew it,
normy with all the possession through the penalties couldn't find a way through until the final minutes which was extended time wise by easily 10 mins to allow them to score IMHO,
we encountered this the last time where the played 5 mins short and blew after their the try to win then.
I would welcome any Normington knights under 12s parent to open debate especially after the acquisitions of cheating when one of our players suffer with breathing problems and uses an inhaler when he has to,
also shocked to learn that the ref who was from Normington, young lad was an ex stanley player who had a fall out with the club
sorry to say but this doesn't help when the ref has a link to either club it is an issue to address
all in all I enjoyed the game and wish that parents realize that they shouldn't get so up tight I had to convince a few that we had a duty to go into the club house as some was so intent in going home
well done to Normington for not giving in and I was impressed with their last bit of pressure as they held a deep attacking line and ran in a quality try which was noted

| Before we go any further its Normanton numpty not Normington .FACT 16 to 1 pen count but TWO of your tries came direct from penalties. FACT, the referee was appointed by the league NOT Normanton but MAYBE theres no wonder we cant attract officials( and you a clubmark club as well ).FACT your player only appeared to have asthma in defence never in attack BUT any stoppage needs to be added on .FACT we scored more points than you. FACT you lost to crigg - refs fault , you lose to Normy - refs fault, is there a pattern emerging here .Coach your kids ( THEY 'RE WORTH IT )dont look for excuses for losing ,sour grapes smell terrible . I thought it was an awesome game with two evenly matched teams with nothing between them . We look at performance not results, big up to stanley they tried hard but maybe their touchline let them down

No he wasn't - certainly not with the defence anyway , we're relying on 2 players making all of the important tackles at the mo .Attack wise it's improving on the pitch - training sessions they look really good , but it'll come .
Although they had more players today Hunslet are struggling - both their u10's coaches have packed in this week and two from another age team had to fill in .
Oh aye , final score :- crigg 48,parkside 12

good now I have managed to get the attention why don't you post more often it doesn't cost nothing and puts your point of view over as well and promote your club sorry about the spelling I should know better
promoting junior rugby is hard enough without losing your temper as a parent I personally can look further than the sour grapes and can take it on the chin when it is there to take so if you want to, I can also see games where other clubs that perform better than us on the day and hope we can correct our play,
please tell me your honest comments on the following
when our player was tackled high with a straight arm did it make you think "oh dear that was bad " there should of been more action taken bearing in mind both feet flew infront of him and he landed on his back and had to come off
the fact that our player was dragged into touch after being tackled that the ref didn't take the touch judge honest opinion.
when you scored in the second half and the conversion was moved further over for a more kickable kick which he he failed to to kick and that the ref constantly said there was two mins to play until you scored then the whistle blew same as the last time we played you that the ref blew early to win the game
I explained to our parents that the I heard the ref given prior warning in one offside to one player who continued to get involved which I at least acknowledged was right so not complaining about penalties for your side, but can you honestly say that your side wasn't offside at least once or twice or tackled more than once above the head
one of our players does suffer with breathing problems now and again but don't hold it against him its a fact that they are children and no we haven't told him to go down hence the reason when he got up from the high tackle straight away you should of at least acknowledge that
the fact that you noticed that we had a similar problem at crigg you seem to think that we are a looking for excuses, that day no rugby should of been played due to the weather as it ruined the game the ref didn't help so please don't call these sour grapes because like you I too it enjoyed too today,
I don't believe that a ref from either side should ref it ? what do you think
so welcome to local rugby forum promote your club and if you want I will meet you for a pint after the match in the wakey cup no probs its only a game and its for the kids

TBF Normy do have a rep for blowing up early/extending match time .
BTW its obvious that an asthma sufferer will suffer more in defence than in attack , you clearly don't have any proper knowledge of the game or the the condition asthma's . to accuse a kid of cheating is diabolical IMO ....
good luck for rest of season
