Draw would have been a fair result, both teams were poor with the ball. We do need to get smarter though, some of the things we do beggars belief.

I think you were watching a different game vastman , effort a plenty but poor execution throughout cost us dearly tonight . That game was there for the taking if only we had controlled the game better . We still have the feel of a team that hasn’t played together.having said that Westerman was outstanding and our defence was superb most of the game . So close but so far

100% for effort tonight & gutted for everyone. I know injuries are biting again but there was a lot of one out rugby on show & sometimes you’ve gotta let the ball do some of the work.

What are you on about, passes to the floor, dropping it at play the balls, knock one all over, from both sides, it was so scrappy. All that effort and s bit of composure would of seen us home there, Leeds we’re there for the taking. Try to watch the game in future you might learn something instead of wanting to be confrontational with everyone who as a different opinion to yours.

This was not a good game, it was a game between two struggling teams. The only reason you think it was good was because we were in with a chance of victory which in the majority of matches we are not. The bottom line is it was another defeat and Leeds were there for the taking.
Leeds have won two games both against us and in both we surrendered a lead. We apparently improved on our average points scored per game which is 12 but still no tries in the second half. I was impressed with the number 9 on loan from Saints but I fear our injury situation has worsened considerably.

Got to agree with you vasty. The downside of our game was too many brain farts and the inability to get out of our 20 metre area on too many occasions. Defense was very good for most of the time. Great game for Westerman again. I actually felt sorry for CC on this occasion. Not because of tonight, but I think this golden point fiasco has got to go for next season and back to one point for the draw.

Tense yes because of the close score, but both teams were very poor in attack. Leeds just about edged it as they made more ground.

The defense was excellent, but then it didn't have to on top of its game to withstand the Leeds pressure. They looked as clueless as we do.

What a shame the game had to end like that, all boarderlin desisions went Leeds way.
You can not question the effort and the defensive was much better tonight.
I'm not sure why in extra time when winning the toss we chose to receive the ball surely you are better kicking deep.
With 2 players unable to return a full back at stand off, 2 new on loan players in the squad, late injury causing a late change I really don't know what people expect.
Give the lads a break and get behind them instead of constantly moaning.

Can not knock them tonight from 1 to 17 or should it be 1 to 15 . The T V pundits in the studio said that all the 50 50 calls went to Leeds, sums it up for me

An entertaining struggle between two low SL quality teams with no lack of effort tonight with the winning team having slightly fewer brain farts and a little more composure.

A new head coach is now urgently needed with time to try and sort the mess out before it's too late but also make squad decisions of their own for next season. Again Chris Chester looks a broken man as he did last season. The win ratio is appalling for the last 2 years anywhere else they'd be a change...the additional coaches has not changed anything on the field....

IMHO another Wakefield bloke in Brian McDermott if they could afford him would make a bigdifference......

I saw a team trying so hard to get a win, really fighting. Our defence was outstanding, especially being 2 players down so early on too. Our attack is obviously way off but I genuinely think a lot of that is simply confidence and obviously a lot of changes to our spine. Thought Westerman and Chester spoke very well. Saw a thread open up slagging Lino off, just can’t understand it. You could literally put Nathan Cleary at 7 for us and we’d still be in the same position. Lino’s kick in extra time should of been a match winner, it was excellent, especially after we made only 30 odd Metres. If we’d of contained them down there we’d of been in a great position to win.

Didn't watch it thought it ended 13-13 - gutted!

We made some stupid mistakes but even Phil Clarke said he thought the 50/50 decisions went against us.
Short Kickoff after Gale drop goal is knocked forward by Leeds and picked up by a player in an offside position.
Ball steal at the end was completed before the ball carrying arm is down.

Chester looked ready to quit at the end (which will obviously please a lot of folk on here) but we have been desperately unlucky tonight not to get something from that game.

Just feel really deflated. It was there against a really poor team and we choked where it really mattered.

Proud of the lads no luck with injuries or 50/50 calls it, lads gave it all tonight.

Lots of brain farts - mistakes you don't make when you are confident.

We throw 2 or 3 marginal passes, all called forward - Leeds throw a dozen, none called (I reckon 3 in the move that resulted in the Hurrell try).

Definite lack of punch going forward - that's a concern.

Played most of game with 15 players fit - not really mentioned in commentary.

Poor call for the match-deciding penalty - Pitts takes the ball before the tackle is complete, but because it's his "hidden" left arm, Hicks can't see it. Surprised an experienced ref like Hicks bites that though.

Players clearly fighting though - fine margins between success and failure - am I happy = absolutely not (beer bottle got put down a couple of times tonight, so it didn't go through the TV), but look at the table - we aren't in this alone = the first club to get a run of 2 or 3 wins will breathe a lot easier.

And anyone thinking Chester doesn't care = hear Westerman and see Chester's face at interview!

Yep...Westerman was clearly frustrated at yet another loss, despite everyone's best efforts and Chester was clearly devastated

Composed , there is a lot you can say about both teams but that is not a word to describe either

I thought both sides were appalling with ball in hand, slow passing, forward passes, passes to the floor and behind the man. Can’t play ball correctly or put it on the floor knock one all over.
