As a Hull fan, I wish Rich all the very best. He's a top bloke, very honest, who has a canny knack of attracting top players to a club eg Fitzy, O'Meley, Briscoe brothers and Long (albeit the latter was unlucky with injuries!). I think it was just time for a all round change at Hull with a new owner, DoR and direction. We have under-performed this year and some of Hull's players have let Agar down at times, with only down really playing to their potential. Best of luck Rich for the future.

Not my preferred choice either but only based on his results with Hull which have been better of late, I suppose. I just worry that he's cut from the same cloth as Kear.

But he's the Wakefield coach now and has my support and I hope he goes well for us.

As a few people have asked but no ones answered from those of you who are moaning about the appointment of Agar and saying things like jobs for the boys, if Gentle and Millward are out of the equation who would they have picked to be HC and would he have been guaranteed to do better than Agar?

Maybe, but I think it's more likely the case that realism has kicked in, and Agar is all you can attract to Wakey.

I was totally against his appointment, but what can you do? I wasn't on the interview panel, I can't demand that his appointment is revoked and unless I want to be twiddling my thumbs all next summer, I can't boycott the game.

So - the club have appointed him and I have to make the best of it; that's what I'm doing.

The Superleague is akin to a big family get-together, everybody knows and respects each other but there's always that rivalry going on. Then in walks the old flatulent family dog (WTW)and you're left wondering why you never had it put down when you had the chance knowing full well that you are only putting off the inevitable for another occasion.

I don't think Agar is an excellent choice but not as bad as some are making out on here. He could do a decent job with Wakey - similar to Kear in a lot of respects. Like for like.

Who knows how it will turn out, he's not my choice.
