Before his stint at Headingley, he would have been a popular choice I think.
He always turned out a hard working London side, it may not have always been champagne rugby, but it was usually effective.
I hadn't considered him TBH, but I think it could be a good shout, and he would have something to prove.

Still a Wakey lad, it hasn't worked that well for him at Leeds but he could do very well with us. He would demand and get 100% from his players that's for certain. It he came in as our new coach it could be a very good move for all concerned

Would love to see figures for areas such as lupset to sho how many pros came from that estate, I would imagine it would be up there with most areas at the top.

McDermott got big raps at Quins for his work with the junior set up too. Add this to the reports from the ST evening that we're looking for someone who could bring on the younger players, and he could be a contender. Leeds haven't had the kind of season they would have expected, so it's not impossible to imagine that he would leave with their blessing and they'd bring in a higher profile coach for next season.

There's no point kidding ourselves that we have the status or expectations of Leeds in the game at the moment. One day, yes, if everything off the field falls into place - why not? In the meantime, Leeds obviously thought highly enough of him to give him the chance in the first place, and I think he could do a good job at Wakey. I wouldn't be upset if it were him.
