That kind of approach is very unfair, and very unsettling, IMO. There will be those who read it as Wakey prepared to sell their mother-in-law for the right price. I read it as Wakey being fair to JK, but rightly expecting something in return.

Unlike players, JK can't sit and sulk, because the team performance reflects on his own ability to do a job. He's lumbered with us. He may regret it now, but it's in his hands to make Catalans and everyone else who's come knocking regret it, and I hope to hell he does!

He may not be money mad, but he can still be ambitious. Catalans offer a lot more than Wakey can, let's be honest about this.

I think if Catalans seriously wanted him - and there are lots of good reasons for their wanting him - then they would have stumped up. They haven't, nor were they prepared to. Make them eat worms, JK!

Do agree with Rebel does look like Ted wanted to sell high and buy very low again. Probably with the knowledge that there would be very little reinvested. If this is all true this ought to shake things up again on a positive note. If JK is willing to fight on to the end so should the squad.

It seems pretty clear that JK no longer wants to be at Wakey, hence the job interview; well done to the board I guess, for holding out for a contract buy-out from Les Cats.

That leaves JK having put himself in the shop window - any club that wants him knows he's available if they're prepared to buy out the contract; in the meantime, it's incumbent on him to perform to the best of his ability, to keep his marketability.

You're putting a different spin on that. I think Wakey would have allowed JK the chance to talk, simply because they know what they owe him in real terms, and are decent enough to allow the guy the chance to try somewhere else.

He's under contract for another 18 months, though. Do we let him go for nowt? Catalans obviously thought he wasn't worth the money. Up to JK to hand their s to them now and look for a better contract when his time is up. Hopefully, with us.
