We 100% need a new 9, no question. No offence to Hood as he gives 100% but he's not got the running game the modern game needs from a hooker. It's probably the most important position on the pitch from an attacking perspective, whether that's a running game or distribution. If that first pass is slightly behind, above, in front of Miller / Lino the whole move falls apart. I know Crowther isn't a natural 9 so I'm not blaming him but our distribution / passing yesterday when attacking the Hull line was woeful for a professional SL side.

No PT that's total self awareness. You've never got Vastman have you. I the author knows exactly what Vastman is and why he does what he does, he's a construct or a character, you chose, not a real person. It's the oldest trick in the book, most newspapers have these creations, Black Dog in the Mail as an example, though clearly I'm not suggesting old Vasty is that exulted.

Going into next season with Hood and Kaye wouldn't be the worst scenario. That been said I think both are replaceable. I like both Cunningham and Pellisier at Toulouse and would happily swap one of them for 1 of Hood or Kaye.

But there probably there or there abouts with all of them having strengths and weaknesses.

We are far weaker in other positions. So probably quite far down the priority list.

It’s beyond me why leeds have let Dwyer go ,they obviously didn’t see the value of him , personally I’d have locked the lad into a decent term contact, as I don’t think I’ve seen him have a bad game . Speed is essential for me in the hooking role and whilst Hood can barge himself over when near the line he’s definitely not the fastest in the game ,and scoots from dummy half aren’t high in his priority for obvious reasons . With youngBowes he’s still learning his trade and hopefully will be a valuable member of the squad in time ,as I’ve not seen him let the side down when given the chance ,but is work in progress for me and needs to brought in steadily , or dare I say loaned out to get him the game time . I don’t get hung up on this home grown thing , I want what’s best for the club , homegrown or not , but I do think the times I’ve seen him he’s certainly got it , obviously time will tell .

Re talk of TO players, anybody got any idea what the lad at fullback will be doing next season?
Played ok when we had him,Asholl-Bott, I think.Looks a good prospect.
