But footballers don’t get it straight away and at least they do something to get it. Sure it’s not anywhere near enough.

However the fairness is irrelevant it’s the impact. I seriously doubt there is more than 1% of the population would have the first idea how to handle such sudden wealth. Can you imagine the family arguments and the sort vermin who would crawl out of the sewers to take advantage.

There are companies who are household names who don’t turn over 140 million a year SL being one let alone make it as a profit.

Sorry to be a bit serious but that’s not a life changing amount it a life wrecking amount imho.

Also as an aside, how quickly do you think most Trinity fans would quickly embrace a champagne lifestyle and totally ditch there rather dull old pastime. Money as they say is the root of all evil.

I would enjoy making other people happy with that money....including (most) Trinity fans.
I know someone in a similar position who sold his business for a lot of money. The key to his happiness was, after a bit of wheel spinning was to buy part of his business back and manage it with a team so he had something to do that he enjoyed but had time to enjoy his millions too.

Was at Wakefield College at the same time as one of Viv Nicholson’s sons… never really spoke to him but we’re nodding acquaintances… this was well after she lost her money but before the book and the TV play….
