Is Walshaw still regarded as a centre or is he a back row now? If it’s the latter the Keinhorst loan isn’t going to restrict his opportunities, either Tautai or Ryan will, and anything that pushes Lyne out ontot he wing rather than centre can only be a good thing. That’s not to say I’m happy to see the young Trinity players miss out, I’d like to see the team built around them.

A good stepping stone for the kid, was too good for Championship, scoring an average of (nearly) one a game in a team so poor they got relegated. As a Leeds fan he's got an impossible task of becoming a first choice at Leeds with Watkins and Moon ahead of him but the run of games he had last year showed he can stand up at SL level, even playing at second row. All the best to him and I hope for both Leeds and Wakefield he gets decent game time and has a great season for you!

He always struck me as a future back rower, not overly fast, but a decent size, hard worker, loves a tackle, and has an offload

Just that these days, players at 23 - especially backs - who are not essential are released

You only have to look at our squad to understand that Kienhorst is a good addition.
Would have thought that no one will be getting sidelined and all the squad has a part to play.
If Kienhorst has caused this much reaction by being a good solid utility SL player, would not like to think what the reaction would have been if we has signed Vickery permanently!!

Given our financial position, I can't see the downside. It's very much a squad game given the likelihood of injuries, so this looks like a solid addition; the lad is highly thought of and should go well for us. Fair do's.

I'm pretty sure that's what he's been signed for, if he's been signed for the back row then Agar has lost it!

Is it definitely Keinhorst who is coming on loan

About a month to go before the start of the season, Keinhorst comes in as cover for centre positions and poss back row.
If there is nothing about that fits the bill, you try to sign the next best thing.
If someone does come along further into the season that fits the bill and Keinhorst isn't getting much game time, then you do what's right for him and ask him if he wants to stay on loan or go back to Leeds and go somewhere else.
I'm sure Bradford would have snapped him up.

Good loan deal for a promising centre. Think Keinhorst with compete with Collis and Lee Smith for that position not second row. Gives more strength in depth in backs which is needed.

What if it isn't Keinhorst. Has his name actually been mentioned in the press or are people jumping to conclusions.

Personally i like him he's a decent athletic Centre with a good offload and eye for the try line.
He has covered BR for us with ltd gametime and not looked out of place and will add depth to your squad with the option of also L.Smith moving into the halves should you get caught with injurys there.

Keinhorst's name has been doing the rounds since the rumour of 6 players coming from Leeds was about.
Possibly signed 2 of the 6 full time in McShane and Moore.
Our situation not as futile as a few months ago so not so desperate to sign loads of loan players.
On one hand i'm hoping Keinhorst develops his game at Wake with some good quality game time.
On the other hand, i hope Collis is super fit and L.Smith is back to his try sniffing best and they rip it up this season.

Was meant to be both - according to Pete Smith - but the Keinhorst one has been held up as Jimmy has an issue with the terms. It may yet happen, but we don't know.

In the meantime Briscoe is the one secured.
