You could have predicted they would predict us to be the whipping boys again. This is the first of many so called experts to give their view and surprise surprise who's in the bottom slot ? It happens year on year and is becoming tiresome to say the least. The only way we can increase our credibility is to stuff it up 'em and get in that 8 with a brand of quick and exciting attacking rugby league and make sure we become over time a top side challenging for silverware. What gets me is, we have never been in that bottom slot in all our time in Super League, don't these journalists do any research ?

That's his opinion, he also stated as fact that Blake Sully (I think that was his name) from the RFL had told us we were in on merit.
Either way the facts, listen carefully alf, the facts have never been stated anywhere, unless you can point them out, that we are only in SL because of the collapse of Crusaders.
And that is simply because it isn't a fact.

As I said last season, it's very easy just to ignore this stuff and claim that we like proving wrong those people who write us off etc, but I believe this kind of lazy, thoughtless journalism genuinely damages our credibility; it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy that WTW are in the doldrums and as a result, the brand is damaged. When the brand is damaged, so is our player pulling power, our ability to attract new fans and most importantly, our commercial revenue streams.

I'm prepared to bet significant money that after all of the idle pundits have predicted us to finish bottom, the Sky commentary team will begin the season referring to us as "wooden spoon contenders," "favourites for the bottom berth" "propping up the table" and any number of supercilious cliches that denigrate our club and write off all of AG's hard work.

It makes my blood boil!

Looking at all the predictions they look about right to me. My forecast is 10th.
