| The salford games the best oppprtunity to set off on the right foot. Let people in for next to nothin ( or even nothing ) if mr glover could foot the bill. Coupled with a big pre match rallying call from the man himself, get it advertised everywhere for the next two weeks. Let the stay aways have something to ponder and rally the troops

| Here here...
I'd suggest Mr Glover says prices to all Wakey fans are half price for the next home game (or something of appeal) to get as many local folk back through the turn stiles as possible..... something to re ignite the spark of RL back in the hearts of the Wakefield community....

| I have a season ticket for this year but still hope the club look at reducing the price of one and match day prices for this season.Hopefully the club will get this sorted quickly and sort out some proper marketing for the salford game. The Warrington game for me is the one we should really push though. It is live on sky so the perfect oppourtunity to show we mean business and get them talking about us for the right reasons.
I dont think we should be giving out bucket loads of free tickets though

| £10 a ticket for salford game.. well advertised in town centre, local supermarkets/ large local businesses for the week running up to first home game would hopefully see a healthy attendence. There would be no good in offerring £10 tickets though if its not advertised correctly/well.

Thats a great idea we should make it some sort of themed party, maybe get everyone to wear shirts from their collections over the years. Invite as many past players as possible and as many junior teams from the district. Fill the ground to the rafters keep the average crowd up and give RFL oneless excuse to get rid of us

| I agree we should do something for the Salford game. The old shirts idea is fantastic ! Back in the days when we were known as TRINITY ! I might still be able to squeeze into the 'British Coal' shirt with the red and white stripes on the shoulders from the late 80's
On the prices front - I would suggest under 16's get in for free. Anyone at school should be able to come along and watch the game for free and will hopefully enjoy the match and be tempted to come back.
Adults should get in for £10. I think we all agree £20 is way too much and I know for a fact a lot of my mates simply wont pay that much to come to BV.
If you have a few drinks before the game and a few after your looking at spending £40 every home game and that can be doubled on away days. Makes following the lads very expensive in this current climate.
£20 entry fee = 4500 - 5000 home gates.
I would take a guess at free under 16's and £10 adults = 8000+

| Moving on away from just the ground - Maybe a move back into the town for the shop?
But this time selling, season tickets, match day tickets, and having offers plastered in the windows ??
Maybe offering gifts cards like Topman and other stores do... could go well for birthday and Christmas presents... Just a thought to attract more fans seeing it advertised day in day out in town.

When the city centre club shop closed after the christmas period James Elston apparently stated on Twitter that a new store was to be opened in the new Trinity Walk development. Anyone know if this still on the cards?

), and there's naff all on the telly as usual, so, to the 50 or so users, and 136 guests currently browsing this forum....how are we going to bring back the stay-away fans ???
Personally I think we should have a big push on the woeful season ticket sales. At the shareholders meeting the other week, James Elston told us that we had only sold 600 season tickets, whereas HKR had sold 6000 !!.
Therein lies the root of our problem - we 'aint puttin' bums on seats (or feet on the terracin'), so why not slash the price of season tickets ??.
Yes, there will be us die-hard fans who have already paid full whack (it cost me over £400 to renew ours), but we are not the problem. The problem is with the "armchair fans" and the ones who have turned away from the club over the past few years. We have to give them some incentive to return, and I believe the biggest single stumbling block is the admission price....slash the season ticket prices to say £100 for adults, £50 for OAP's and £20 for kids, and then reduce match day admission to £10 adults, £8 OAP's, and £5 kids.
Then make the whole match day experience a day to remember, with improved entertainment, hospitality, etc etc, along with 110% effort from the players (we ask nothing more than commitment to the cause), and hopefully the crowds will come flooding back...we may be going out of Superleague, but let's go out with a bang and not a whimper, and show them what they are going to miss !!!!!'"
Great idea, suggested the same thing months ago, even emailed the old BOD, but with no reply, hopefully the new BOD jump on the idea and look at new revenue streams and badly needed income for the Club, £100 put me down for 2, even though i could only make half the games....

Got my season ticket last October but I would still like to see them sold a lot cheaper and match day tickets cheaper. I know I'm losing out individually but It'd be great to see BV full for it's last hurrah and a show of intent to the RFL.

The club could apease the fans that have already bought season tickets by offering a 'loyalty voucher' for spending in the shop or some kind of offer like that.

| I know an amateur club where the chairman lies through his back teeth and has a nack of peeing people off, consequently volunteers have dropped off and people fall away etc, etc, it's the same principle that happened at WTW.
Your roots are your history. and your ex players bring back the memories. I once heard that Leeds offer free season tickets to ex players. this swells the crown and creates revenue in the bars.
To add to Feline's idea, every home game, introduce a couple of ex players to the crowd, from all eras, and make them club guests for the day. e.g. Where are Juliff, Diamond and Barwood these days? The Rayne twins, Idle and Skerret, etc.

| The club should send a promotional team round all the pubs on a Friday and Saturday night before a home game.
If the game was at full-price admission (of €20) a discount voucher for a drink or food at the match could be offered.

I think we all have to realise that Mr Glover is running the club as a business and not a charity. I purchased a season ticket last year and thanks to the new man I am able to use it this year so my 180 quid wasn't wasted, not like my 150 shares I bought last year they are down the swanee with nothing to show for it at all.
I would be surprised if any season ticket holder as a moan because at the moment there are cheap tickets available,Lets all accept it and enjoy our rugby league after all he could have not honored our tickets then we would have been doom & gloomers

| Bought my seating season ticket last year. Haven't got a problem with reduced gate prices. At least we have a club to support. Two weeks ago it looked like we would have nothing.
