I agree with you that Kear is not getting the best out of what we have, he is not picking the right people for starters.

It's no less ridiculous than being able to count as a member 3 times over. I still reckon Kear till the end of the season then replace him. Not sure any change made now would make that much difference and we wouldn't get anyone decent until after the franchise decision

There has been a lot given back by the Wakefield public, but the product that counts has not been addressed and has, despite small sums being paid out, gone backwards, non more so than with the decisions to release Millard and Jeffries (yes, both released by the club and nothing to do with administration).

Everything you list is positive, and doubled with a visible improvement in the playing front and a continuation of the fighting spirit we had early season, it would have worked miracles with the attendences, the memberships and everything else. Without the product that counts - on the field - you may as well pay people to come in to the ground - they will still go away fed-up.

I feel completely numb to today's events as it no longer seems that there is any care or attention where the game of RL counts.

We don't need to start our first season in the NL on the back of several 60-odd/70-odd defeats!

But surely we have to try something. The level of performances of late are simply unacceptable.

We have two options to try and improve things, (1) change the coach; (2) bring more players in assuming they are available.

As someone who thinks the squad we have are capable of better performances than we are seeing, I say we take the (1) option, we have nothing to lose cos its probably the easiest of the two and we can't get any worse - we are IMO now at the point where there is no downside to the end of Kear and only a potential upside.

Did you watch the apprentice this week ? Basically what Sugar said about a product is that packaging and marketing and all the frills in the world can be given to a product but it is all useless if whats in the box is crap.

By the way give the people of Wakefield a little more credit will you, why should they do anything. This club is Glovers company when he puts a product together that is worth buying I am sure the good people of Wakefield will buy it.

I still find it strange how the tone of your posts has changed since the Club changed hands and suspect that it is because you were happy with how things were under Ted.

The stayaways who promised to come back when Ted left have not. They had plenty of opportunity when things were going reasonably well it's only the last few weeks when the wheels have really fallen off. Glover is hardly going to start putting big money in until the franchise decision is made and the biggest reason we are sweating on that one is down to your old mate Ted.

A bad week for the club from a PR perspective if you ask me. Feel sorry for Martin Hopkins he will have his work cut out attracting any sponsors etc if we carry on like we are.

There were plenty of decent performances early on in the season but the masses didn't flock down they hardly bothered to turn out when we made the play offs so I think it's a fair comment on the apathetic Wakefield public.

Really? I have seen nothing throughout the periods in the last 6/7 years where we have had a decent team that leads me to think that statement is true. We have increased crowds only marginally all told even when we have had play off rugby. Only a sustained period of success combined with aggressive marketing to juniors would 'work miracles' regarding attendances imo. Crazy talk

I've been watching Wakefield long enough to know we'll be a different prospect against Saints, it's all about interest.

We'll all be like "Kear's turned it around what a coach" and then we'll play Wigan and it won't be pretty.

If you put our team and stadium in Warrington probably less would turn out than they do in Wakefield.
Put their team and stadium in our fair city and I think the ground would be just as full. People of Wakey are no different than anyone else.

We are now playing at different rules. This club is ones mans business it is up to him to provide a product people are willing to buy end of !

I am willing to wager a considerable sum that we will not get anywhere near sts next week.
