The stadium and rugby aside, this development will bring jobs to Wakefield, at this time of utter economic depression in the country nothing is more important than the creation of jobs to put money in people’s pockets,

Wakefield is the 11th biggest city in the UK and I feel our council are finally coming to terms with this

Leeds council have recently pointed out that all these units and hotel etc could be built on numerous sites around the area which are available now and already have planning permission, so there is NO reason to start digging up uspoiled grass land, also the jobs you pretend to be so concerned about, would still be created, but unfortunately no need for any stadium.

As the NIMBYS were told by a councillor during the planning Meeting last Friday it was closed down in the '80s ... and before that there was a dirty great pit on both sides of Newmarket Lane, with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week shifts and continual noise as coal wagons and lorries travelled up and down the road continually.
