Steward had to to step in...though he seemed to be more interested in trying to film me rather than the agressive Bulls fans ...

Didnt see much physical bother other than a few heated exchanges but I expect there may well be a fine heading your way for your 'just a town full of p*k*'s' chant. Can do without that sort of thing and I imagine it was equally embarrassing for decent Wakefield fans who also witnessed it.

Another reason why the North stand should be home supporters only. We are the most welcoming SL club to away supporters.

End of the match by the tunnel a Bradford fan was demanding to see a Wakefield official, central to her gripe were the abuse Bradford fans were on the end of in the North Stand and Daddy Cool upsetting her 'sensitive' grandson and making physical contact with minors.

Felt quite sorry for the Wakefield club man who had to deal with her carping on and on about whether Daddy Cool had a CRB check in place, swearing and lack of proper segregation.

I hate these factual chants. Was dreading the Bulls fans giving us a rendition of "your just a city with a C*th*d*al"

Daddy Cool today was the guy from the last 10 years who came back for a one off.

Based on his job, I think he's more than covered on any checks!

Re segregation - it would help if the stewards knew what was going on! Two of us we turned away from the Arthur Rd (West Terreace) entrance and told "all Wakefield fans to use the North turnstile". We went round there to find dozens of Bulls fans queuing too get in, The North Stand full of Bulls fans and the West Terrace empty. The North Stand should be for trinity fans only. The stewards should enforce it and, whilst they're doing that they should get rid of those doing the foul mouthed chanting which is, frankly, embarrassing for the club.

Bet she wouldn't off been there complaining if Bradford had won. I'm willing to say that is a fact.

The racist chants are a disgrace yet sadly it is nothing new. There wasn't the same level of uproar last year even though some idiots sang it then. Is this because more Bull fans came this year?

I agree that offensive chants should be stamped out.

I also agree that we should have some form of home advantage, like our own stand. It is not as if there is no where else for the visiting fans to stand.

Some of the chants are embarrassing to say the least and could result in a fine for the club.

That said, if the North stand was just for home fans you'd probably eradicate those chants. Only Wakefield would allow away fans into what is deemed by many as a stand for home fans. How can you grow your attendances when the club does silly things like this.

Well unfortunately I couldn't make the game last year so I wasn't aware it is tolerated at Belle Vue. It's not something I want my little lad exposed to, so I'll think twice about bringing him again if that is the case.

Reassuring that most posters on here were similarly offended and I hope you can encourage your club to take action as it isn't a fair reflection of your supporters overall.

Still don't know how you can take a hefty sized drum into the ground but, a bottle of pop is banned ???

Some say it adds atmosphere but, it was just annoying (and loud)

For the other home games in the qualifiers league surely the North Stand should be home supporters only.
As the middle 8 gets closer and it becomes even more of a "winner takes all" situation, the hostility will increase,
making things a little more fractious between the two sets of fans.

Questions, it seems to be a big problem for WT controlling some unsavoury elements of their support.

In all seriousness, it needs stamping out, though how can the club be fined? Does anyone have any proof of racist chanting? I was stood in the east stand so couldn't hear it. It does beg the question though if Bradford had won would there be a fuss?

I thought the stewards got the segregation spot on yesterday lumping both sets of noisy idiots together in the North Stand leaving the decent viewing sites available for those who go to watch the match.

That's the problem when you get big groups of away fans in the North stand the majority of away fans should be directed to the western terrace like what usually happens. If you go into a stand where the more passionate home support stands flash points will happen at any ground. The club relaxed the away fan policy yesterday & some Bradford are moaning about some chanting if they were on the western terrace it wouldn't have occurred. I saw it as some Bradford having a go at Wakefield fans calling them inbreds & Wakefield responded about their population, cas is a few miles away so I don't know what Bradford fans were thinking. Great result yesterday and overall great atmosphere in the North stand. TRINITY FOREVER

to be honest you can't condone any kind of racist chanting just because the away fans were in the same stand, whether Bradford fans were in the western terrace or not, racist chanting has no place in a rugby league ground, neither has assaulting opposition supporters or stewards!

I can't see what all the fuss is about - they came, they sang, they left with their tails between their legs... couldn't have worked out better. There was no need for segregation.

I didn't hear any racist chanting, but if it happened, shame on those who joined in; that's unacceptable.
