Great news

I really hope he can come back and show the form he did prior to his injury, there is no doubt he is a class act, i just hope people do not expect too much from him next season, the kind of injury he has had usually takes at least 1 season sometimes 2 to fully recover from and it shows in performance.

If he can hit the ground running in 2010 it would be a fantastic recovery from such an injury and I hope he can as he is certainly a player most fans regardless of who they support like to watch.

Really hope this news is kosher, we`ve really missed him since his injury, who knows how many of our close losses could have been reversed. It`s been a tough old season for wingers, with injuries to Blanch, Petersen, Murphy & George, surely it`s got to be better next year?

This is great news! (if true) our centre and wing combinations are looking very exciting for next season, if gleeson and blanch can show the form they showed in the world cup and IF we get millard and keep george i can see another very interesting partnership working there!

We have done fantastic without a decent winger in the team for most of this season, i cant wait to see how we will perform if we have blanch and george next season!

Aye, if we lose any more we'll have no one to drive it up the middle on the first two tackles.

Damien looked very fit even though he's been unable to all the training he'd have liked to.

What suprised me most was his upper body development, despite having the shoulder injury and the op he was in excellent shape.

Glad he's signed he's been better at this level than many would have predicted and if we can get Millard and keep Atkins we will look pretty solid and dangerous out wide.

Not happening.

Neither was Blanch staying.

I don't believe I have ever claimed to be in the 'know' about Blanch.

Good if true, be interesting to see how he returns (speed wise). But is a good finisher anyway with good upperbody strength (imho). Nice to get another player sorted

it all looks good news for the club at the mo and the signings coming in, if i was one of the players rumoured to be looking at leaving for other clubs (Snitch, wilkes, Brough etc) then i would seriously think twice about it, the future is good right here and the grass wont be no greener over there

Its all down to cash, players have been offered contracts on longer deals with more money thrown in, you can't do much about it i'm afraid.

Keep what you can and do the best with whats left, i know i get told off now and again for "picking on players" but IMO on a tight budget you can't afford to waste it, the money spent on some players last season could have funded a player from your list. Its hard to get it right though.

Good job Wakey, Blanch has a had a rough time this season due to injury and its so good that he has been given a second chance.
