I'd agree with you, and add that even if we are bidding for Korki, he's a different type of prop than Bibey, as is Moore. Stosic is more similar in style to Bibey, and I think we've been most effective this year when we've made use of having two of each. Anyone whose seen Tronc tell me where he fits?

I'd much rather keep Bibey, he's effective, but as with other players, if other clubs are prepared to make them offers that for us to match would make them not worth it in a value for money sense, then that is how it is.

If Leigh are out-bidding us I'd be worried! Surely they can't be willing to pay more than us, and surely they can't actually afford it....

think bibey has had a good season and played well for us. he is still living over that way. leigh may have offered him a good deal. they have just signed paul and look to be making some other good signings, new stadium, may have a bit more money to spread about, good luck to him.

Seems like there is money around at some championship clubs as they jockey for position in the race for franchises. Leigh at the moment don't stand a chance of finishing in the top two in the near future unless they spend a little, so it maybe more a case of him being worth more to them than he is to us. I'd also guess Bibey would be one of the top earners at Leigh where as I'd assume he's a middle/lower for us. All that said, I'm suprised we aren't matching it so guess it must be more about will to pay rather than ability.

What is the cap in NL1 anyway? As every Rooney, etc the likes of Barrow sign must take a significant chunk of it and risk upsetting the applecart with steady squad players.

Good player for (what I assume to be) relative peanuts in wages. Sadly it would appear the masses don't see the little things like fast PTB, landing on his front and always making himself available. Sadly, give them somebody who turns their back in defense and lands on their back more often than not and as long as they keep their legs pumping and wriggle for an extra couple of inches then they are hailed as heros.

Sorry if this is true, and a confusing move by the club. Reliable, willing, cheap and British - surely there could be a place in the squad for such a player - even if its only 5th choice prop?

Is it me, or do we need a few bodies in for next year - particularly in t'forrards if all these 'outs' are happening? Pitts, Bibb, Bibey + plenty of other heresay?

He's no world-beater, but then again no one else in the squad is either. What he is is honest, hard working and tough. If this is true I will be dissapointed, he's getting better all the time and I think there's some improvement still in him.

If he's leaving, I will wish him all the best and thank him for never shirking and always doing his best - something a few other members of the squad could learn from.

If it's true, I am somewhat disappointed. Goes down when tackled, i.e. not driven back the ten he has just made. I think he gives us what it says on the tin.
If he is to be replaced by someone with more to offer, then fair enough.
If he has been offered better conditions, and it is his call, then fair enough.
But for me he has given us more than he has not.

He is going to be higher in the peaking order at Leigh. Bibey is ok and he will do a job but he's not a game breaker.

how many players in any team are? your props need to lay a platform not be game breakers in the main

No problem with Bibby thought he did a decent job and I guess he would not be on a bundle so value for money. Maybe we are looking to move forward and based on what we see his value as Leigh are prepared to offer more. Don't think its a case of being out bid by Leigh but more as case of them valuing him higher than us.

What with Tronc coming in does that mean we may be keeping Korki. Our 4 props would be Korki, Stosic, Tronc and Moore - not a bad bunch coupled with Newton at hooker, Morrisson and Fergie in the 2nd row and JD at loose - would be nice if one or both of Wilkes and Snitch were to stay as well but it seems unlikely.

think thats a fair way to look at it. thing is we need more than 4 props because where do we go if we get injuries? wilkes and snitch have played there as it is for chunks of the season. if bibey goes then we still are a couple short imo.

If Wilkes and Snitch stay then we are covered but if as seems likely they are going then I would agree that we need a couple of 2nd Row/Props.

agreed. players who can cover both positions would be ideal. hopefully wilkes and snitch will continue to fill the roles

I think Bibey has played his best rugby for us the second half of this season and if he could have maintained it in the future would have been a valuable asset. Just to throw one in here's a debate. If you could keep one on form over last couple of months who would you keep, discuss!
