Correct. All the garbage about buying the lease to project from predatory developers was a load of bull. Bradford had a secure lease on Odsal and it could not have been sold from underneath them.
I have no complaints about the situation we find ourselves in having to sell players because the mess was of our own doing and we can't moan about selling players. But what brasses me and I'm sure the rest of you is that Bradford have got themselves in the same mess and they are allowed to go into Administration and start up again with no loss of players.
Of course they are going to "work with creditors". It'll be interesting to see how many creditors are paid in full and I bet Omar Kahn is not banking on getting any of his money back.
Bradford should be treated how we were going to be treated when Andrew Glover proposed another Administration which was relegation to the Championship but of course the RFL would struggle to have the rent on Odsal paid then. A 4 or 6 point deduction is no punishment at all when you have been able to keep your squad pretty much intact - a good squad at that as well.
I will not be going to Odsal and I can understand fans saying that they are walking away from the game because at the moment that's pretty much how I'm feeling at the moment. All I want to see in this game is fairness and every Club treated the same.

| Maybe the reason why no players have been sold is that the RFL have bought them and are loaning them back to the Bulls!!

| Quote ="Slugger McBatt"I know the Bulls fans go on about losing Bateman, but given his supposed potential, he would have gone anyway. They have added to their squad with players other clubs couldn't afford, and seemingly they couldn't afford either.
'"
I find 2 players leaving Bradford different to other club situations when finance is at the core of the problem.
Just before Bradford went public on the appeal for fairly immediate public help they gave Elliott Whitehead a 5 yrs contract. He was later sold to Catalan Dragons - but this was after he requested a transfer.
The same applied with Bateman - [url=http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/10780635.Homegrown_Bradford_Bulls_star_Bateman_sold_to_champions_Wigan/?action=complain&cid=12127894Story[/url
He had been given a contract after they came out of that administration - [url=http://www1.skysports.com/rugby-league/news/12196/8139798/Here[/url
When Wakefield,Salford and London have sold players there is no record of them requesting transfers.
Seemingly, while the RFL are monitoring Bradford they, the Bulls, can not only sell Bateman while an individual who stood down after the fit and proper person test disqualified him a week or two after he was appointed owner,Whitcut, was in charge, but what is owed to HMRC,and another,is apparently overlooked resulting in the 3 directors, who walked away in December,as they couldn't get the shares, return and after administration, take over again.
* Sorry it is all written in gobbledegook - I shall blame it on tiredness and confusion *

| Maybe it's the RFL's new way of trying to expand the game.
They have bought Odsal, they buy the players.
They only need a plan to make Odsal into a hovercraft type thing to make it mobile and voila.
Roll up, roll up, the RFL Rugby League Circus coming to a town near you soon!

| There are still some bulls supporters who are very arrogant and up their own s and living in past glories. I guess the reality of them being a lower league club hasn't hit them yet.

Maybe the apology was for letting the cat out of the bag rather that making a naïve comment.
It's fair to say that anyone involved in the game as a supporter or further up the food chain is aware that going into admin. usually would mean a points deduction.
The info was taken down not too long after it appeared, probably after a severe telling off.
We eagerly await the sanction that the RFL may apply as they are clearly aware that the rules HAVE been broken
"The RFL understands that the Bradford Bulls have today been taken into, and out of administration. This is a breach of the RFL byelaws and therefore the Board will seek further clarification in the matter before considering the appropriate course of action"
Someone should open a book fro this one
Carry on as though nothing has happened 1/100
No action, 1/4
Points deduction, Evens
Demoted to Championship 100/1
More spin expected to justify no penalty for The Iconic Bulls

| To be honest I think the whole points deduction furore is a red herring, a diversion from the clear double standards of the consequences of going into administration given to Trinity and Bradford.
This whole pretence that the RFL were only made aware of the Bulls going into admin on Friday insults everyone's intelligence.

| I have absolutely no faith in the RFL to do the right thing, nor be open and honest about it and I have absolutely no faith in Bradford to 'change' their financial approach.
I won't go to Odsal again regardless of whether the RFL's hand is forced as it's clear there is preferential treatment towards some clubs and there isn't a fair playing field.

| I was reminded of another difference between Bradford and Salford when listening to a podcast where Alan Hunte,Head Of Youth at Salford and originally from the Wakefield area.
There was an embargo on the signing of players at Salford which filtered down to the Academy. This despite the then owner John Wikinson being in charge for 30 years without any problem(s) the only financial instability arising when he came to fulfill the Licensing criteria of stadium requirements.
Not only was there the embargo but the Academy side lost its Super League position and played against Championship sides last year.
The boom and bust years at Leigh Centurions that currently see them signing a host of players direct from Super League clubs despite the apparent salary cap for Championship clubs and the overt favouritism for Bradford Bulls does hint at influence of Labour Mp's.Sutcliffe at Bradford and Andy Burnham at Leigh.
Perhaps you should persuade the MP for Wakefield to make representations
It's not a nice way to treat the so-called lifeblood of the sport - the supporters - but when the RFL can take a club lock ,stock and barrel from Gateshead to Hull just because Hull Sharks/FC are struggling, nothing surprises me.
Kath Hetherington will know all about that...
Some clubs just seem to be the favourites.
It is certainly wrong.

| No players for sale at the Bulls (as was said on the Sammut thread),.
We couldn't afford our squad before and got into a mess, but now we have a clean slate.
We have the same costs, probably a smaller fan base as many will feel so let down, but we are going to bury our heads in the sand and have the same outgoings - ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.
They simply can't afford what they have and should be made to cut their cloth.

Don't wish to interfere while you're having a good old rant but I'm afraid you're talking out your Harris if you're suggesting that the club haven't made cutbacks in the expenditure from the OK regime.

| But the administrator said the old company wasn't financially viable, however all of a sudden they are
Surely the only reason they maybe a more financially viable proposition is because the old debts have been wiped out and no longer need to be paid back (OK/Bradford council & HMRC to name but a few known creditors) so if they are not paying them back how can they be "Working with creditors" and if the are paying them back, then they are just as much of a non viable proposition as the previous company

| For the record:
31st January 2014
BRADFORD BULLS officials have this afternoon announced that the club will not suffer a points deduction, as a result of its former operating company entering administration.
OK Bulls Ltd was placed into administration this morning but the club has since been purchased by Bradford Bulls 2014 Ltd.
And, on behalf of the new board of directors, chairman Mark Moore has confirmed that the Bulls are to remain a First Utility Super League side and will start the new season on zero points.
