The guy clearly is trying but is also clearly not very good at anything that you require from a halfback. I don't like criticising players but I will say what I see. His passing isn't good enough, his in play kicking isn't good enough and his running game clearly isn't good enough. The evidence is there to see from all season. There's others that aren't as good as him but they're not the blokes who are one of our imports on a higher wage so I'm not going to hold them to the same standard!

And Lino wasn't much better, how he has walked back into the side is a mystery.

First half we were the best team except for about 5 minutes. That try chalk off was ridiculous and no way should griffin have been adjudged knock on before they score that try. I’d also say Vera was obstructed In that try in the first half but no video check. Typical. Also that second half forward pass try chalk off was a tough call. No way that’s called most weeks even if technically correct.
That said they were too clinical for us and wtf Dagger is on the bench especially if Lino isn’t even kicking, p*ss poor team selection, Dagger knocks over at least two of those and we are then right in the game and he’s been playing well no way should he be left out.

Don’t think the two second rows were too bad with the ball either. We did seem to make decent meters forward, we just didn’t have too much clue what to do when we got into good ball, other than the chuck it to Griffin tactic.

I thought we were well on top at 8-6 but that dropped ball from Lineham just got Cas back into the game.

We blew our last chance to get back into the game when Whitbread's break came to nothing. I think he made a mistake running a line away from a supporting Ashurst then slinging a loose pass at Lino. I won't be watching a rerun to confirm it though.

Felt for Fifita who was head and shoulders our best man out there.

Does Applegarth just have a year's contract? If so then either sack or make him sell programs for the rest of the season. We clearly have some talent in this team yet week after week we churn out this e. Get rid of Lino too.

The thing that got me was Cas were down to 2 subs on the bench after half time, yet we used our 8 interchanges before them. Cas clearly wanted it more, you could see on the field, the score line. We are a shambles. I’d genuinely be happy to not see a fair few players wear the colours again as they are either not good enough or are not bothered.

I'd even add to that one of the worst overseas signing by any club in the super league era.

Personally I thought Lino went ok last night, the least of our problems in my opinion.
We created enough chances to score 30 odd points, but consistently bombed them every time the ball moved wide. Lyne Lineham and Senior were constantly out of position, and looked like headless chickens in both attack and defence. I am not even sure we had anyone playing right edge SR for most of the game.
