This thread is funny. You guys have bemoaned his loss since he signed for hudds- now you are bemoaning his return.
True hudds have had his best years- but one thing about brough is when he puts on his boots you get the best he’s capable of - paddy’s aside. Those paddy’s are because he cares not because he doesn’t.
Not sure what’s happened to his kicking game- his goal kicking has been well down -he’s never been any good at short range stuff but his long range ball in hand stuff is just as good as it’s always been.
I’m going to enjoy next season thinking of all those hypocritical fans at wakey cheering him on when the last few years they’ve been Jeering Danny brough, is a w*nker.

Well Danny is marmite but on the pitch he can be a match winner, in the big games his experience maybe just what we need. In addition is career is slowly coming to an end but for Rocky and Ben its a great opportunity for them to learn their craft to higher level. We will have to wait and see what the official statement is whether he signs, how long and the role he could be joining as a player coach who knows.

We brought Williams over at 35 he is the 1/4 player of Danny Brough. Brough is home grown and still a massive talent. I for one shall get behind him Finn tried but Brough has the talent and skill with game nous what we have missed. Great business Mr Carter ! WELCOME BACK DANNY

Our chippy man with all the news seems to have gone quiet just recently.

For me, I really am on the fence with this one.

He is, and still is, on his day, a great organising half back, also with a good all round kicking game. He also still has some pace. All this, for me, is something we have lacked. He may just have something left in the tank to get us round the park, and might just be the missing piece of the jigsaw to help us break that top 4.

On the other side of the coin, can be a bit of a loose cannon.

If we have signed him, then I will give him, like I do with all other squad members my support. I just hope it doesn't rock the boat, and upset what is, or seems a happy camp.

Maybe just a one year deal to see how it goes for club and player

We've never had it so good ,back the club whatever the decision on brough.

Brough will be 36 by the start of the season, it’s time for him to retire and Huddersfield know it.

Would have rather we would have gone for someone younger, if I am being totally honest, but he is, a quality half back, with a great kicking game, and despite his age, still pretty quick.

Hoping that if true, this is a stop gap, and would only sign him for a year at this stage. There aren't many good organising halves around at the moment, and who knows, after a year, Miller, Hampshire or Reynolds may have built that into their game, or, if not, there may well be some availability there, whether it be a British half or overseas half back. Added to this we still have Liam Finn on the coaching staff, so not just Broughy, but we have his experiences and knowledge to pass down too.

All in all, already looking forward to the 2019 season

Personally think this would be good, we've been crying out for a halfback with a good kicking game for years and Brough has that. Also think our squad is a good group so they'll keep his head screwed on.

Bit weird the timing after signing Reynolds and also renewing Rocky's contract. I would imagine it will now be Rocky/Jowitt fighting for the no1 shirt with Hooley on loan again or a regular in the reserves. Hope it doesn't mean anyone leaving.
