For me, the whole thing boils down to trust. I've never met MC but what I do know is that the club has been turned around financially, and when I think back through his stewardship of the club I cannot think of a single misstep that put the club in jeopardy. He's recruited the right people, stabilised everything and negotiated things well, like the new lease.

So trust? Do I trust him to do the right thing about the ground and for the right reasons? Yes, I do, and I'm content as a fan to let let those people involved in making decisions simply get on with it and have no need for constant and regular updates.

Fair enough. I think most of us know the level of brown stuff we have been in previously and for that you deserve nothing but thanks. It would be nice though to know what the current situation is and where we may be heading. Its maybe though not convenient for everyone who wants to know to whats going on to just call in, likewise i imagine you have better things to do on a matchday. Maybe a twitter q&a at some point could be an option, at least that way you could see who is asking the questions. It's something done by many sports organisations these days.

Even on twitter people can hide behind alises as the many parody accounts show. All MC wants to do is "face his accusers " . People get brave when hiding behind a screen, you probs would say things you wouldn't say to his face which isn't right.

I have met him Slugger. I attended the launch of Snowies Trinity brewery in the Cats Bar. I stood out like a sore thumb as the only one there in a Cas shirt but MC made a point of coming over for a chat. I was amazed how open he was as I never actually asked any questions he just volunteered the information. I know I came away thinking that the club couldn't be in better hands and it was nothing to do with the excellent Belle Vue Blonde.

Which is why i initially suggested an open forum where everybody can ask their questions face to face all at once. He doesn't feel that is appropriate right now which is fine, so i thought a twitter chat where everybody can see might be the way forward. If a question is under an unknown alias, don't answer it. I don't think one to ones will help as it may be good for that certain person but thats how chinese whispers start and can create more problems than they solve.

Just about sums it up for me as well Slugger.

You have your chance, put up or shut up, you're an arch critic, the guy has given a chance to to have a one to one, take it.

You get an offer from the owner of the club but I'm guessing you won't turn up. Very sad.

It's like a game of poker. MC might be playing a game, but not with supporters. If we say Dewsbury is the only option they can charge higher. If we say Dewsbury isn't happening more can be charged for Belle Vue, if both are options less pressure on the council/York Court.

Who knows MC has only ever released info once it is a certainty, we all want to know our future, but we also need to be patient and let MC play they best game of poker he can without showing his cards.

I'm quite happy for MC to make the decisions re: our club and let us know when we need to be informed.
He's put his money where his mouth is, so ultimately it's his choice what he let's us know at this stage.

However wakefield supporters are an impatient breed but that impatience has been born out of years of mismànagement to downright lies being fed to us
I face a 150 mile round trip to home games, and do not use the social media to the extent of Twitter or Facebook etc I rely on solid news being distributed via this site

Maybe i'm in the minority here but here goes...

1. I don't own the club, i am a supporter, as such what happens off the field is decided by people other than myself. They have paid their money, it is up to them to do what THEY feel is right for the club, they may decide to consult the fans, they may not, again this is their decision.
2. I don't really care where we play, after all, we go to way games, so what's the difference if we move 3,4 or 10 miles away, I follow the team not the ground.
3.the views of the "vocal few" on here are probably not representative of the majority of the fans, they maybe, but i get the feeling that most are of the opinion, "whatever"! when it comes to ground / off field issues.
4. Without the fiscal prudence of MC & CB, we would have been dead and buried by now.
5. We have been shafted over NM, but i refer back to point 1.
6. Wakefield 'till i die seems to mean to some "Wakefield 'till we lose or someone makes a decision i don't agree with"
7. We have the most apathetic, moaning set of fans in SL.

Thats my take on it...

You make some good points but as a supporter of nearly 60 years I also have put thousands into the club over the years, including some money in shares which went down the river without me even being told about it - so, supporters like me also have a financial interest in the club albeit a very small amount compared to MC and others.I have nothing but admiration for MC, CB and others who have put their money where their mouth is.

Point 7 - Come on! is there any wander. We have been deceived, cheated and blatantly lied to over decades. I feel entitled to moan and I bloody well will moan until wrongs are put right

Seen a tweet from this afternoon saying it was announced on the radio that we had bought the ground an a statement was to follow? Anybody hear it?

A friend listened to the game on the radio where it said we could still be at BV next season.

Saw MC wandering around the west terrace this afternoon and he stopped to talk to one or two spectators. Wonder if one of them was SP.

Doubt it, he'd be still under his stone.

In answer to a question asking whether there was any further news on either staying or leaving Belle Vue MC replied 'no just more meetings this week. The bane of my life.'

So i wouldn't hold my breath waiting for news.

WRT radio announcement on BBC Leeds, they said the rumour is we've secured tenancy. Also that MC said in program notes there would be announcements. Don't know about what as I didn't get program. I think we've got to trust MC on this issue, he's not let us down so far, I get the impression he's as frustrated as everyone over the ground situation.
