Definitely agree with that, one thing you will get with Kear is a well drilled team.

Favorite memory (Outside Judgment day of course) under Kear, was our comeback victory against Cas in 2011, Easter weekend with a team full of kids and "Nobodys" no disrespect intended as many of those players have gone on to establish themselves as SL players but at the time were players that were not wanted by any other club.

I wouldn't rule out JD just yet, he hasn't ruled himself out.

Funny you should say that, I was talking to a fan at the game on Sunday who I know for sure has contacts in Australia, I asked him if the club has been in touch with him, and he replied well if they have Jason is certainly playing his cards close to his chest, that's not to say your wrong btw just passing on what he said.

All I know is that he has talked with the club.

If the coach has already signed the contract, before Carter has even spoken to all the candidates, then we are heading for disaster, no matter who it is.

I doubt very much that anyone as signed a contract and its been kept quiet can you imagine the boost naming the coach before the weekend unless its cummins

This leads me to suspect one of two candidates. Probably JD as it gives him time to settle his affairs and fly over here. Then he can be present at the press conference.

Alternatively the idea of being "surprised" makes me wonder if Dave Woods is in the frame. At first I didn't like the idea and thought he needs some training sessions with Clugger. However after looking at his record he has been successful virtually everywhere he's been. The only thing is it was in lower leagues so I don't know how he'd manage at SL level.

That's the scary bit - in the past that's meant cheap or useless or both.

I'm bricking it, this is a truly important decision, if we get it wrong we kiss SL and probably the future goodbye.

He's currently Youth performance coach at Wigan I think.
The fact that he got to so many finals puts him above most people in that division. He lost out to Cas and Leigh I think.

There are a number of Coach's who haven't yet been interviewed so if we've already signed someone, even if it's Wayne Bennett or Craig Bellamy, we have acted unprofessionally.

Maybe Darryl Powell feels he has served his apprenticeship doing the coaching at the smaller club's in the WF postcode and is now ready for the step up to the biggest club.

Bloody he'll. Let's get stuck in to the club just at a time when we should be firmly behind any appointment of a new coach. Let's be honest any statement without a name means diddly. M C needs to get the next guy spot on and I'm sure that that will not have been done in such a short time scale. Two of the contenders have been involved in the bash so that would apparently rule out a speedy meeting. Any Australian applicants would want some solid legal documentation to look at before putting pen to paper.
I don't bet but I would be willing to have a quid or two on no contracts been signed just yet.

I am prepared to wait for the best candidate rather than rushing in and making quick fix that will come unstuck in the near future.

Having said all that. If we have got a big name with a brilliant reputation and excellent man management skills, who cares

Michael Monaghan was 10/1 earlyer now he's at 13/2 so looks like some money as been put on him and mc as said hopefully in next 4-5 days it will be revealed who the next coach will be.
