| Quote ="Spongebob"Be worth it when they're playing at Wembley next year mate .
Young Spongebob thinks he'll be playing , but i doubt it to be honest , it's gonna take a very good team to stop Cas HS getting there with the pick of the Panthers & Lock lane teams - maybe they might be too knackered when they play Ketty
'"
i spoke to the sports teacher last week about how it works and basically all the teams in the wakey schools play each other then the better sides are guarenteed a home tie in the yorkshire cup,the 4 semi finalists then qualify for the carnegie challenge cup,he asked which schools i thought would be strong and the two i said were outwood grange and kettlethorpe of which he said dont worry about kettlethorpe cos they dont enter which i thought was quite odd and has we know outwood like cas high is a sports academy and what with the stanley lads will be pretty strong too.

| well 3 down 1 to go for this week with todays yr7 school game finishing cas high 30 airdale high 12.
a bit of a stop start affair with cas starved of the ball for long periods trying to play too much rugby, so a bit to work on but 6 tries and 6 different scorers shows the strength in depth which they have.airdale who were made up of virtually all townvilles team plus 1 or 2 from fryston battled hard and scored two lovely tries.

| Ossett Academy yr 8's beat Kettlethorpe today, 20-12. I can't give any details as I didn't see the game - my son forgot to tell me they were playing.

keep plugging away mate only 1 softener for you i guess looking at fixtures is lock lane also play their 4th game , very unfair that you end up playing first 2 away against two strong teams.
on the bright side i guess your getting the toughies out the way , but then again i can not see any easy games.

| breaking the trend again but very proud of my lad today , scored and converted as stanley 10s won by some distance away at newly formed garforth tigers 10s . and its all down to heavy training n piggybacking
according to the young un .
shame so many games kick off at same time on same day but at least i only got wet once
waiting to hear spongies (oe AN other!) report from eastmoor as a little birdie tells me crigg have won. by a narrow 2 points .

| Aye , we won ......just !
Ended up winning 20-18 in the end . It didn't start well last night when one of our key lads had to pull out with a fractured hand caused by trying to do back-flips (!)& then 5 mins into the game two of them collided under a high ball resulting in one carted off to hospital ( he's ok , but big headache tonight though !) and the other limping his way through the second half & nursing a knackered jaw .
Hats off to everyone of them though as the team had to be completely re-jigged with lads having to play in strange positions and come back from 6 down . They looked like the game was sewn up at 20-6 , but when Eastmoor scored an excellent try in the corner with 15 mins left ,but then one of our lads had a brain freeze and decided to try & trip him up & was quite rightly sent off . Thought that would be it to be honest & they'd blown it , but they only let one more try in ( which was in the corner)and they hung on .....PHEW !
The referee was attrocious by the way , both ways . Don't like slagging off young refs , but he was really , really poor . I know they try their best , but he didn't even look like he could be d .Made some terrible decisions tbh , seemed very easily swayed by the spectators/ players .

sounds like a good game , was it dvd as it may be worth getting a copy.
seems to be something about the moor ground and crigg kicking out/tripping . i would 2nd guess peeps will think its how the lads normally play but i know its not.

| Stanley Rangers U14s 22 Normanton Knights U14s 34
Its always hard to post when you have been beaten even more so when the game seemed in the bag at 22 -6 quarter way into the second half.
What was to come you had to stand back in amazement as Normanton ripped Stanley apart.
The heads just went down and there was no response at all.
We was short of 4 key players in total but that shouldn't be an excuse, the Knights played some bloody good rugby and showed some decent passing keeping the ball alive and they deserved that win
we fell well short of our expectations and will aim to correct this
After the game talking to the coach and complimenting him on theirs side's great performance I told him I would write as it happened, I also invited him to come on the board and promote their side too
I don't buy into that you don't own a computer
well done Normy Knights in bringing us down to earth after beating Hunslet Parkside

far from unlucky the lads got the correct dressing down, they've not been training right and that performance showed

Results in and very close in div 1 .
Lock Lane beating panthers by 4 - (12-icon_cool.gif
East Leeds drawing with staningley 14-14
with Crigg beating moor by 2 it goes to show the power of the boot may have a massive impact this winter.
1st Cas LLane 4pts + 34
2nd Crigg AB 4pts +16
3rd Stan'ingly 3pts +24
4th East Leeds 1pt -30
5th Cas Pan'rs - -18
6th Eastmoor - -26
panthers finally get a home match next week and a 7 day rest , would be personally surprised to see them lose 3 on the bounce but eastmoor must be in danger of being cast adrift.
crigg have a very tough trip to east leeds who again showed on their day they will match anyone and lock lane travel to one of the toughest places to win stanningley .
in division 2 stanley won again and could take giant strides to cementing top spot if they can overcome churchwell chiefs .
in division 3 the only 2 100% records go on the line oulton vikings v garforth tigers

im still here guys, took the chance to have a couple of days at the coast straight from the game on saturday.
onto the game and all i can say is what a game with two teams going for it big style, despite having long spells of pressure we went in deadlocked at half time 0-0,something had to give in the second half and it was lane who struck twice to open up a 12-0 lead although it could be argued we were the better side. anyway we got some reward for the pressure we put on them with two good tries the first going through 5 pairs of hands and the second a chip and regather from 60 metres out before beating the full back to the corner, unfortunatley for us both our tries were scored in the corners on the big first team field and both kick dropped just under the crossbar.
both teams were given a standing ovasion from the big crowd and even though their were lots of battered and bruised bodies and both teams they are all the best of mates again.

round our area in the 12s and for the regular posters it seems Crigg All Blacks have draw the short straw with the away trip to humberside whilst stanley have in fairness the easiest tie at home to Moore
. The two cas teams also will enter unknown territory and should be very good matches .
eastmoor basically have a bye and another big write up in the express
good luck to all FAM teams

| Quote ="braytontiger"already tried to find a out a bit about our opponents but had no such joy, will be very nice to play against different opponants thats what makes this cup special that you are going into the unknown.
its a shame that yorkshire juniors arnt backing the teams that enter by more or less forcing them to play in both competions on the same weekend which seems very unfair on the kids and parents,im sure crigg will enjoy the trip to the east coast and although we are happy to be drawn at home you cant beat a long bus ride for team spirit.
