Thought we got the rub of the green on a couple of big calls for a change. HKR looked to have one down on the line under the sticks, a good one disallowed in the corner first half and a video ref would have found something wrong with the BJB try before he picked it up.

Don't know about the corner one but they were nowhere near under the sticks, probably a lot short from where I was standing.

Don't agree in essence, best I can say is Childs reffed us slightly more fairly than normal.

HKR had a decent 30 mins in the first half where they were perhaps slightly the better team and perhaps that makes the final scoreline seem a touch harsh compared to the effort they put in. However lets not under sell ourselves, we were by far and away the superior team for the other fifty minutes and that's all you need.

Oh yes, well deserved the win in the end. Perhaps fortunate to be ahead at HT but like a battering ram 2nd half.

The corner one was a definite try. Just seen the highlights. Entire body was in the air and he grounds the ball comfortably in play.

Unless a player is exceptionally gifted then their early career will always come in fits and starts. At the end of the day possession is 9/10th of the law and Grix and Finn own those shirts for now. It’s for them to lose rather than for Jowitt and Hampshire to take.

I can say with certainty that imho neither have shown anything like enough to dispose either I’m afraid especially in Hampshire’s case but to be fair it’s his first seaon at the club.

Why not publicise it as giving some other squad members who are fit, raring to go and chomping at the bit, a run out to freshen things up a bit.

Second one, the try is dissalowed for a knock on not being in touch. You can't see the knock on but no HKR players question the ref so you have to assume it was. So sorry but it wasn't a try so HKR were not unlucky IMO.

I would just say you are wrong he did not go into touch, I don’t think it made any difference with our second half performance. He did drop the ball for the second and yes BJB pushed the player before running the length of the field but I could also state many that have gone against us starting with the penalty try that was given but wasn’t in 1968.
It’s all irrelevant now we won the two points and Leeds the cup.

If it had been pulled back, I'd be feeling pretty hard done by, not for the first time this season.
I know its printed there in b/w in various online write ups, bjb's push was missed by the ref, but watching the replay it just doesn't bare scrutiny.
Its a ball in the air every man for himself, both he and Clarkson ran in to each other, both of them had eyes on the ball at all times, it was a minor collision challenging for the ball, there was no push, it just came up for bjb end of.
