I would be surprised at that. If Obst and Latu are signing new contacts along with Terry Newton I don't see any reason for us to sign another hooker.

No thanks we already have a better full back, probably on a lot less money then Owen. I wouldn't want us to pay a big contract for winger, especially after the Petersen fiasco.

Hudson can play Loose forward too your captain hasnt much milage left...

jd is a better player than him now and will be here next season, leading from the front and by example as always. that lad doesn't need any type of enhancement. we have a great squad and don't need hudson and as for loose we have got plenty of cover imo.

He may be a better leader of men, but as a loose forward, Hudson is a much better player.

While Ferguson may be better than him in a couple of years, we've been missing a real loose forward for years, always fudging it with someone out of position there.

you are probably right, we could do with a good loose forward, but if we are really going to go for one , lets get one better than him.

I have to come on here after reading that one. Opinions fair enough , we all have them however Ryan Hudson will never be as good as JD.

Even now in the twilight of his career he beats Hudson in almost all of the stats especially tackle busts, Marker tackles , average meters per carry the works and thats from someone who gets moved all over the place during games.

I know Hudson has played 15 games to JDs 23 however average it out it's there for all to see.

I respect that, and for my money, as a captain and a centre, yes, streets ahead. As a loose forward, I'd prefer Hudson as I just think he offers more in that role.

Different types of player.

I liked Hudson when he was at Wakefield, and espexcially when we moved him to loose forward but just so I understand, what more does he offer than JD?

In my opinion(!), I like my loose forward to have a creative streak and work in support with the half-backs and hooker. I think he offers that.

with all due respect i think he offers a lot more and imo we want none of it at wakefield. shouldn't be in the game, never mind at wakey.. think fergie could do a great job at loose next season.

heard it again and this time Kear is keen on hudson, as for the hes contracted since when does one of those get in the way

Even though Hudson is actually a hooker and not a L/F and has no more experience in that roll than JD.

The only advantage Hudson has over JD is age.
