| A very clear and concise statement regarding our current situation at the club. Carters candid approach is always likely to cause debate amongst fans regarding if it’s the right approach to have. What I personally take from it is that this is going to be the most difficult off season since Carter has been at the club. Reduced income and late to the transfer market is not a great place to be. I can only hope that with it being a WC year that we uncover some targets there or potentially from Toulouse ie Alvaro.
What worries me is Leigh are coming up and they are really strong. I know they have to shed a number of players to meet quota, but they are a lot stronger than Toulouse. I just hope for our sake we get the recruitment right to the best of our budget or simply it’s going to be another tough year

We'll have to see about Leigh but as you say, they are going to have to lose a lot of their better players.

Unfortunately people prefer to be fed the ‘sunlit uplands’ fantasy… the statement left me feeling a bit flat .. but the world isn’t filled with flowers and puppies at the moment!

| Well which ever way you look at fans are the life blood of the club. Once lost they rarely return. There is no getting away from it that the late chester years did the club damage. The back end of this year has been good but Cas at home and Salford away were bad PR. We need a competitive team to deliver good performances ,we also need better facilities to attract new fans. We are getting the facilities so we need a team to match. Its up to the BoD to provide both. Apart from moan and groan there is very little the ordinary fan can do ,other than keep turning up till you get fed up.

MAGIC.
Have they looked for one or is it too overgrown at the bottom of the garden because they’ve had several years to do so.
The last one I heard use this expression was Theresa May and she found 1 billion pounds to buy off the DUP.

I guess it is an improvement on those who buy tickets on a match by match basis which means if they can’t attend they don’t pay.

I despair. No money tree. Magic or otherwise.
Only good business. Its going to be tough this year. No one has any money apart from the energy companies.
We need to somehow convince people to part with money to be entertained. And sometimes it's not entertaining!
We'll just have to dig in and see what the new season brings.
We have a decent team. Hopefully a couple of additions can freshen it up and make it competitive.

It really is pointless trying to reason with some people Pop Tart. Damed if he does, Damed if he doesn’t. Some on here criticised him for not making statements earlier, now criticising when he does. The amount of abuse he receives from some posters on here is appalling, but as soon as he might have had a little dig, those self same critics don’t like it.

| I have never said he's got a money tree, I have criticised the club for its total lack of marketing and effort in Attracting new supporters
Personally I don't care that much about the players that have gone and the players moving on are hardly turning out for top ranked opposition.
I would have much rather read a statement of how the club will move on and take measures to try and make sure we are not in the same position again. How the club will be marketing itself and not relying on the odd Facebook statement of GAME DAY.

Carter has a strong personality and self belief, a lot of the anonymous SMALL poster on here can’t deal with it. They claim they want strong leadership then bleat like sheep when they get a version of it they don’t like.
Despite what some chose to believe Carter does not buy the players, train them or pick them, that is the coaches job. Ditto the players, how they play is down to them.
They don’t perform then MC doesn’t have a good product to sell.
He’s a financial wizard but until the team performs he’s limited.
As for invest to accumulate you still need the cash to start with, we clearly don’t!
That said he’s a canny CEO, Although I don’t think we have a pile of cash laying around we are rather nicely placed to pick up those gems the World Cup always throws up. Three overseas players, that’s a lot of wiggle room for WP. I may have been critical of his selections and tactics but his eye for a player has been pretty good.
Could be fun next year.

The positive side to that though is when they do attend they pay more for the ticket negating any loss of revenue from the odd game they miss, there's also the revenue they spend at the ground essential much needed revenue , I'll be specific if you like as being a non attender you won't have experienced things like buying raffle tickets, a programme, a pie and a pint (although not for you as you don't drink) not to mention the joy of watching your your favourite team play, another alien concept of yours I know, sitting in the East stand alone when it's raining because nobody will sit near you because of the hole above your head must have been demoralising with nobody to share the thrill of watching Tom streaking down that wing to score another fantastic try, not the same on trinity tv.

| We have the communication from the club some have been wanting and I see nothing wrong in it personally.
He's only stating what we all pretty much knew anyway, but does say the club clearly tried to keep one or two of the players who are leaving, so that for me puts to bed 'why did the club let them go!'
For a club with little money we move on and again, personally, until that big money provider comes forward, (Shell? BP? - as somebody has said they're the only ones with money to throw about at the moment!) then I wouldn't want anybody else at the helm than MC.

I guess you are talking in generality because you wouldn’t be buying a pint and do we still have programmes. I won’t go through the obvious rubbish you appear to like to repeat foggy, I have not had that seat for sometime but you are correct it is indicative that in all the seasons no attempt was made to tidy up the stand. With regards no friends i actually have quite a few in what was the East Stand but mine are friends not those who appear to just put up with someone.
I guess none of us will be able to share seeing Tom scoring another try for Trinity will we.
I have to leave it there because I said I would stop making you look stupid, I agreed because you can do that yourself. I will say it again please go away and bother somebody who cares about what you think foggy.

Usually when people say there no having a go it's generally followed by a 'go'. I get his frustration of people not understanding/not wanting to understand the financial implications the club finds itself in, but by going official on it he just winds up those who are waiting to be offended. In my view no need, even though it doesn't bother me.
