What if the defeat of Cas was the teams goodbye swan song, just putting an old wrong right and giving us one last high point.
I suppose we will see next week, but I just can't shake the doom off just yet. I know it's the wrong attitude but there you go, that's what the last three years has done to a lot of us I suspect

I always feel less confident when more is expected, i.e when we are in supposed good form. We do better backs to the wall normally. Catalan will be fired up after that nonsense yesterday, you could see on the highlights some of them had switched off thinking they'd won it so you'd imagine there will be some wrongs to be righted in their next games.
I can see us getting hammered actually, but then maybe that's the pessimism you speak of

As yet the team owes more pay back for the dire games earlier in the season, the Leeds, Salford and the two Toulouse defeats still sticks in the back of the mind, whether some players can be forgive we wait to see.

Poching was fed up with the fans saying we weren't trying?! Which is exactly what he said in his post match press conference after Salford?! Anyway, Willie tells lies, as his captian pointed out on Friday night......

| I have no doubt every player tries. It's ridiculous to say otherwise.
However some are not capable.
The Salford game stats showed clearly that most were working their nuts off but 3 players not capable just let try after try in.

The 3 I mean are Minns Croft and Lineham.
The one I would give more chances to is Croft as I think he was left out to dry a bit. He's got better in each game so sometimes I think it's just a matter of not being ready.
I assume you mean Gaskell. His biggest problem was resilience to injury and maybe bravery at full back. He always had the talent. I'm glad he's found a place.

| Gaskell has looked very good at centre.
In his scrum cap, I did keep thinking Duncan McGillivray had re-signed though.

| I wouldn't worry about the Cas game being the teams swansong Vasty, the revival started 5 days earlier, albeit we didn't get the points.
Question is can we keep it going.Catalan are in a bit of a slump at the moment but at their best are up there with Saints.Reckon we owe them one and if we put a shift in same as last two, think we can do it.

| My worry has always been going to Huddersfield on last day of season having to win, in wakefields inimitable manner repeated numerous times over the last 40 years we missed the open goal by losing to Toulouse at magic.
Likelihood is that Toulouse will get one possibly two wins , so it’s pretty simple 2 wins and we can probably look forward to another season of pain !

| Well its always a worry with Trin. They can be very good and next week deliver an absolute stinker of a game. Over time it wears you down and you tend to fear the worst.
Not only that, after the recent episode with The Saints ,I strongly suspect the team they field against Tolouse on the very last game will contain 17 players that not many of us will have actually heard of. I would not trust that lot one bit anymore. Therefore its up to us to get to a safe position before the final game.

I think the same PB plus Catalans play Toulouse before and you can see that happening as well now the top 4 is more sorted out, Which makes this game against Cats this week very important for us to win and then if st's n Cats did field very weaken teams and Toulouse took advantage then that brings Warrington into this relegation situation big time.

| Great score to keep it alive at the top of the table . No one will be fielding a weak team while it’s open and will be wanting to go into the playoffs in form and with momentum .

Wow, you really have got it bad, mind you, I dont think you are on your own.
Hopefully, the rest of us can still get behind the boys for the rest of the season and let's see what happens.
Wonder if Warrington are starting to get twitchy yet. For a "big" club, with their spending power, it's incredible just how far they have fallen.
For Trinity, if we can maintain our defence of the last couple of weeks, we will certainly give ourselves a chance v Catalan, who are not in great form.
I know that we've had a few new players come in and one or two go through the exit but, has there been any change in the backroom staff.
The lads are all defending as a unit and scrambling well, a level of commitment that we haven't seen this season, with the possible exception of the 2 wins away at Warrington.
Although we want to see Trinity win every game, the effort in defeat v Saints was immense and to back that up v Cas, who are in decent form, was superb.
We're certainly not safe yet but, we look like we are capable of escaping the drop, which wasn't the case a couple of weeks ago.

I'm still behind them and will be at every match cheering them on. I'm just pointing out how even the most optimistic of fans have lost a lot of belief in this team this season. Be honest deep down are you going on Sunday expecting the same as last Friday? Hoping perhaps, but expecting. I'm not talking winning here, nobody can really expect that, I'm just talking performance levels. The crux of this season and why it's been so soul destroying has not been the results but the nature. One week we will look frankly excellent as last week, then for no obvious reason we look like a team of strangers, many of whom appear to have never played the game before. It's this Jekyll and Hyde act that is destroying the fans moral, if we were just plain crap we'd have accepted that, but when you know how well a team can play but it consistently doesn't then you start to question.
